Grand Buffet — Restaurant in Town of Carmel

For a family priced buffet they really added some thoughtful touches with the decor, the lighting, the booths, the art work nicely done. I really enjoyed all of the food I had not one complaint very fresh and flavorful. Good variety of food for their lunch buffet. Can’t wait to come back with my kids I know the assortment of ice cream cups will hit it off with them, the only buffet I’ve been to where they have blue raspberry, lemon, strawberry Italian ice cups as well ice cream pops, and your standard chocolate, strawberry, vanilla ice cream cups, I usually prefer a nice soft serve ice cream option but the assortment more than made up for this. The staff were very friendly the Buffet was pretty crowded for lunch and I was checked on regularly they never let my cup get empty and always removed items as they were finished.

Been back to this establishment a few times since my initial review every time great food great experience. The last time I went there I noticed they have a drink menu aside from their fountain drinks. They offer beer and wine and some other drinks as well, what caught my eye were the mocktails strawberry and pina colada, $5 I had to get a pina colada really enjoyed it. Haven't been to a Chinese Buffet for many years since my all time favorite one started going downhill. I heard about the opening of Grand Buffet and, while out on a Saturday ride, decided to stop by and give it a shot.

First off, very clean, almost new looking interior. Staff was very nice and attentive, took the empty plates almost as soon as they were done. Bathrooms were clean and new looking as well.

Food was very good. Items were rotated often and empty trays were refilled very quickly. Food counter was wiped down often by the servers. Boneless ribs were superb, but the bone in ribs fell flat. All of the other food was absolutely delicious. (Didn't try the Sushi or Sashimi, but maybe next time).

2 people, with tip, came to a little over $70 which is more than reasonable considering you can spend $30 or more at your local Chinese place for one single dish and some appetizers. Here you get the entire menu and as much as you'd like for the same price.

First time for this buffet since it opened in March of 2025. Two months open and this is my opinion of this place. Service was great. Used plates whisked away as soon as we were done. Food was acceptable, but there is room for improvement. The majority of hot food was not hot when it should have been. Some of the hot food was way overcooked, such as the calamari, baby octopus and seafood salad, which made chewing it nearly impossible. Some of the hot shrimp was so overcooked that it disintegrated inside the shell. The flan, (yes flan) was nothing like I have ever tasted, and I do not mean that in a good way. The water in the restrooms was ice cold. A charge of $2.50 was added to the bill for each pot of hot tea ordered. Our bill was $5.00 higher for two pots. Deserts were OK, especially the prepackaged ice cream. Don't know if I will be back, especially since King Buffet is down the road a bit and closer to...
