The very good- steamed dumplings 5 stars. The dumplings are delicate and tasty, the dipping sauce delicious. The spicy fried chicken- 5 stars. This is a traditional Szechuan dish. It comes out dry, no sauce. And it’s done very well. Fried rice- 5 stars. Delicious and we’re glad we ordered it because the white rice that came out was dry. The pretty good- the wontons in chili oil - 3.5 stars. Not bad, didn’t wow us. The meh- twice cooked pork- 3 stars. Edible but wouldn’t order again. Portion size- 3 stars. Not enough for leftovers. The terrible- the drinks- 1 star. The specialty martinis are bland and boring. Service was good. You can tell they’re still ironing out the wrinkles due to being a new establishment, but they try hard and are friendly. I’ll likely update this review in the future after return trips. UPDATE After eating here at least 8 times, I still find the service to be so-so. Again, everyone is friendly enough, but I think there's a language barrier with some of the servers. I often have difficulty placing my order. -The food continues to be very good with few exceptions. My son had Szechuan style pork and it was overly sweet. And the sweet and sour soup is almost like drinking pure vinegar. -Skip the lunch specials. You pay double the price that you'd pay in a takeout restaurant and get less than half the food. The combination includes a teacup size soup of the day, an eggroll that is actually a very small spring roll, a teacup portion of rice, and a small portion of the entrée. When ordering, I told our server that I did not like the soup of the day, but she did not offer a different kind. She brought it anyway and I returned it untouched. Again, this goes to the communication issue. -Overall, we love the atmosphere of the restaurant and the food is definitely higher quality than most places in the area. And the hostess is...
Read moreGreat to see authentic Szechuan cuisine and dim sum in Putnam county! From complimentary intriguingly seasoned fried wonton skins to well above average obviously in-house made vegetable dumplings to a slightly different take on chicken in lettuce cups and very tasty Beijing shredded pork with steamed buns; everything was quite delicious though flavors seemed slightly muted maybe in attempt to appeal to less experienced palates? I would hope they pull back on that aspect a little less and let all the flavors fly as they should. In fairness this was a first visit and the dishes ordered were on the mild side. The menu is extensive and there is much more to indulge in. We'll definitely be going back to explore more! Food was excellent on our next visit but service was disappointing. We thoroughly enjoyed the sweet ribs with Chinese vinegar and the beef dry pot we ordered but nobody came to clear our table or ask us if we wanted another drink or anything for well over 40 minutes after we were obviously finished...
Read moreThe food was outstanding. A huge selection of entrees and it was delish. I moved to the area 5 years ago and I have been disappointed until now on the selection of Asian cuisine restaurants in this area. We had appetizers, drinks and entrees and it was all DELICIOUS. The food came out quickly and was hot in temperature. The service was outstanding and one of the owners, came around to our table and make sure that we were satisfied with our meals. The price of our meals was very reasonable and you got a lot of food which we of course took home. Asian cuisine is my favorite and this place is the best in the area hands down. I would highly recommend that you give this new establishment a try, you won’t be...
