“CITIOT: Where Matcha Meets Matisse and Coffee Comes with a Side of Charm” Let me be clear: CITIOT is not just a café—it’s a full-blown Catskill cultural experience wrapped in a cup of matcha and tied with a bow of artistic flair. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I had stepped into the cozy living room of the world’s most stylish (and well-read) artist friend. I was warmly greeted like a long-lost creative cousin. The vibe? Think Warhol meets Wes Anderson in the Hudson Valley. There’s a rustic farm table where people are sketching, journaling, plotting novels—probably creating the next great American art movement right there over their croissants. And speaking of those croissants: buttery, flaky, tender pastry clouds sent directly from a Parisian dream. I got emotional. Not ashamed. Now, let’s talk about my iced matcha. It was earthy, refreshing, and smoothed out my soul in all the right ways. Then—out of nowhere—the barista hands me a COFFEE CANDY. A single, humble-looking hard candy that delivered a creamy, bold, espresso-kissed Italian daydream straight to my tastebuds. I’m now plotting how to smuggle two pounds of these heavenly nuggets back home without judgment. The barista? An absolute gem. Warm, funny, detail-oriented, and somehow managed to make each guest feel like the main character. If they had a fan club, I’d sign up yesterday. Oh—and let’s not forget the shop itself: part boutique, part gallery, part gourmet pantry. You’ll find gorgeous books, local artisan goods, quirky art, nostalgic toys, an antique wooden bicycle, and things you never knew you needed (until you’re holding them at checkout with zero regrets). CITIOT is a must-visit hidden gem that’s worth the detour off the Thruway. It’s the kind of place that refills your spirit while refueling your caffeine levels. Whether you come for the croissants, stay for the espresso candy, or simply need a moment of Zen-meets-design-meets-cozy—we’ll probably run into each other here again soon. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a candy addiction to feed. “Food that feeds the soul, beauty that speaks volumes, and travel that tells a story always through the eyes of Italy Loves India.” — Alyson Savino #CitiotCatskill #MatchaMood #EspressoCandyCrush #HiddenGemAlert IG @Alysonnyc212

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Main Street, Catskill, Citiot emerges as a beacon of cultural and creative excellence, courtesy of the charming Dutch duo, Pim and Gertjan. These owners aren't just running a business; they're fostering a community, bringing a slice of European elegance and flair right to upstate New York. Atmosphere, Decor, and Gallery From the moment you step through the doors, Citiot welcomes you with an ambiance that blends classic sophistication with modern creativity. The venue itself is a canvas, showcasing local art and contributing to Catskill’s cultural revival. Hosting events like the inaugural curation of "The Horses of Unbridled," Citiot is not just a café but a cultural hub. Service Service here is more than just a transaction; it's an experience. Pim and Gertjan lead their team by example, creating an atmosphere that is as welcoming as it is professional. James, who you'll find behind the counter, is a wizard with coffee. His friendly demeanor and skill at crafting beverages add to the overall exceptional service. Coffee & More Speaking of coffee, the selection at Citiot is nothing short of top-shelf. From velvety lattes to robust macchiatos, every sip reflects quality and care. The coffee menu is a testament to their dedication to excellence and provides a perfect accompaniment to any gallery browsing or social mingling. Community Impact It’s clear that Citiot is more than just a place to grab coffee. It’s a venue that supports and promotes local art, hosting significant events that draw both locals and visitors. The impact on Main Street is palpable, elevating the community vibe and making it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a taste of local culture mixed with international charm. Final Thoughts If you're in Catskill, or even anywhere near it, stopping by Citiot is a must. Whether you're there for the coffee, the art, or the chance to meet some of the most delightful entrepreneurs in town, you’re in for a treat. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates the finer things in life—be it coffee, art, or community spirit. Citiot is clearly a cornerstone of the Catskill community, and a place that should not be missed. Hats off to Pim, Gertjan, and their team for creating such a splendid venue!

Love, Love, Love this store!! As soon as you walk in, you feel so comfortable. I love the merchandise that is well chosen and has so much style. Citiot supports local artists, exhibiting and selling their creations, such as the beautiful pottery in the back. I love the soundproof Zoom rooms next door. The coffee they sell is delicious! This was by far the best coffee I had in a long time. After my Cortado, I walked out with my Citiot Ground Coffee Bag. I can't wait to come back. I feel I found a lovely hangout place as well, not...
