I recently dined at Bismillah Bangla Wok, and I must say, it was a truly exceptional experience from start to finish. This restaurant offers an inviting and vibrant atmosphere, where you immediately feel the warmth of traditional Bangladeshi hospitality mixed with modern touches in both design and service.
The menu is a treasure trove of authentic Bangladeshi dishes, each bursting with bold and flavorful spices that truly capture the essence of the cuisine. I started with the Samosas as an appetizer—crispy on the outside, with a perfectly spiced filling that had me hooked from the first bite. For the main course, I opted for the Biryani (a must-try!), and it was hands down the best I’ve had in a long time. The rice was fragrant, fluffy, and packed with layers of spices and tender pieces of meat, creating a harmony of flavors that left me wanting more.
The Bhuna Gosht was another standout dish—a rich and savory curry that was cooked to perfection, with tender meat and a deliciously complex sauce. The flavors were deep and satisfying, and you could tell everything was made with care and the finest ingredients.
To top it all off, I ended my meal with a traditional Roshogolla for dessert, and it was the perfect sweet note to finish on—light, sweet, and simply delightful.
The service at Bismillah Bangla Wok deserves a special mention as well. The staff were warm, knowledgeable, and eager to make recommendations based on my preferences. They made sure every part of the dining experience was comfortable and enjoyable.
Whether you're a fan of Bangladeshi cuisine or a first-time explorer, Bismillah Bangla Wok is an absolute gem that I highly recommend. From the vibrant flavors to the top-notch service, this is a place that guarantees a memorable dining experience. I’ll...
Read moreWill only go for chicken chowmein noodles, mushur daal, rice, and vorta. Nothing else.. 2.5/5 STAR 🌟.
It will be a bit long, but I will be honest. I won't talk about ambiance, but only food.
The first time, I went with my friends. We ordered rohu fish, shrimp, chicken, dal, vorta, and Pomfret. The food was amazing, and I went crazy. My impression was 10/10.
Next time, I actually recommend my friend to go there for dinner. I was super confident about the food. We ordered chicken, shrim curry, mug daal, and vorta. Started with vorta, and it was amazing. But the chicken and shrim curry were TERRIBLE, I repeat TERRIBLE. they were completely tasteless. Shrim was smelly. Chicken curry was weird(lack of salt and spcie). I can't explain the taste. I couldn't believe myself. this was the same restaurant I tried just a month ago, and I was super pleased.
Anyway, I recently visited again: ordered chicken boti kebab, rohu fish, daal, vorta, and chicken biryani. To be honest, rohu curry had a raw fishy smell. Briyani was so so. Kebba is like they added too much BBQ sauce and made it sweeter. Only mushur daal and vorta were very good.
Honestly, I am very disappointed. I thought I found the best Bangaldeshi restaurant at Buffalo when I first visited there (they newly opened back then). The food was really amazing at that time. BUT my last few experiences were very disappointing. To me, it seems they failed to maintain their food taste. Their quality degraded over time.
If I go there, I will ONLY go for their chicken chowmein noodles, mushur dal, and vorta.Nothing else. Every time, I found these...

What a refreshing change of pace with the food at Bismillah Bangla Wok! I loved trying something more ethnic and authentic—definitely stepping out of my usual comfort zone. The staff here is incredibly kind and helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
The food was absolutely amazing, even after reheating the leftovers the next day for lunch! My friend and I had the Butter Chicken (served with rice) and Masala Chicken (also with rice), both to die for. Their rice is far superior to the average white rice, and the Roti (we wanted Naan, but it wasn’t ready) was fantastic. The rice pudding that came with our meal for dessert had a lovely flavor, and the mango lassi drink was like a smoothie—so good! We also had a fried dessert, which was unique. The orange fried dessert is definitely an acquired taste; I tried adding confectionary sugar to improve its flavor, but it didn’t quite work for me.
They have outdoor seating (not yet set up), an indoor dining area, and a front seating area. The front seating area could use a little more attention in terms of cleaning and decor, but overall, it didn’t take away from the experience.
I highly recommend giving them a try! Excellent food, great prices, and amazing service. I can’t wait to go back and explore more items on their menu.
P.S. I’ve been trying to add photos, but I keep getting...
