We (party of 5 adults 1 baby) arrived at 7:20 waited over an hour to get seated(8:40). After placing our order we were set at a corner table booth. The floor was slippery in a not clean way. We were given an unclean high chair for my 3 month old son. We placed our drink orders, found out they were out of milk, so my sister asked for a hot chocolate instead. They also didnt have crepes. Everyone recieved their drinks, except the hot chocolate which took 40 minutes to get. We wound up not receiving our food until 9:45, giving us 15 minutes eat and leave . Mind you 20 minutes into waiting we were the only ones left in the restaurant. They blamed it on grubhub orders, however we were next to the door, and only 3 people walked in while we waited, one of which was seated. While waiting for food me my sister, and our friend went to the bathroom. The ladies room smelle so foul we held out breathe forpst of the time in there. And the belt buckles on the changing table were covered in something white and crusty. I left with the baby at approximatelly 9:30 before receiving our food. I had my boyfriend grab my food and bring it home for me to have in the morning. Upon everyone receiving their food we were all even more disappointed. The pancakes were flat, hashbrowns burnt, nothing had ANY seasoning, my sister and I both ordered specialty pancakes. They gave her plain pancakes, and mine just strawberry had strawberries with whipped cream on top instead of being the strawberry cheesecakes ones. Our eggs were undercooked, I was given sausage instead of bacon. Only person that didnt have something negative to say about their food was my boyfriend, he got a burger. We all did appreciate our waitress though. She was very polite, apologetic for the whole thing and over all just not bad. It's very unfortunate we had such a poor experience as my family has always been fond...
Read moreI can't really give anything besides atmosphere and service a rating because from the moment I pulled in it was a bad experience. After traveling over four hours and coming to town to see my brother whom just had a stem cell transplant ,my mother and I just wanted a quick bite to eat, having not been to an IHOP in a long time ...we were excited! When we pulled it it was dead but we still wanted to give it a shot! We saw an employee run to the back to alert the other employees that they might actually have a customer to wait on...or at least that's the obvious impression I got after than walking into the restaurant of which we were greeted immediately and I actually thought the woman with greasy hair was going to tell us we had to leave, so I was surprised when instead she quickly greeted us with " were only doing take out"...( This was at 11:22pm ) ( I run three restaurants...if your open til a certain time...your open...it's important for consistency and revenue and customer service all around, I never understood employees who don't like money, don't work in a restaurant that's open until 12am of which I clearly looked up before driving there) I said oh really? Says you serve til 12am online. She looked nervous and I asked for the manager...she said it was her...I asked for her name...she said it was kat..I informed her that that was bad for business and revenue and also false advertising and that I was infact calling corporate and writing a review. She shrugged her shoulds as if she could care less...because she's the manager and explained she had sent almost all of the staff home ..I informed her she should put online accurate hours or close up and...
Read moreThis is my second time visiting the Cheektowaga Ihop. One of the reasons that I go to Ihop is because my previous visits in NYC have been good. However this was not the case today in Buffalo/Cheektowaga NY.
I was greeted by Nicole Vittie who was incredibly abrasive with me. I was unable to find my online order on the IHOP app. She offered me no help in finding my order. I probably spent 10 minutes, trying to find my order while she greeted other guests and seated them. My food was slowly congealing behind her but she made no attempt to check if it was my order. Eventually, I found my order in my email and saw that there were missing items. She was unwilling to actively listen to me and offered me advice that did not correlate with the problem. I told her that i found her quite rude and pointed that she had been rude the previous week -to which she said I should no longer come to that location. Quite confused as to why my pointing out her rudeness meant I couldn’t order from there again. I asked for her name, position and supervisor’s information. She refused to give me a district managers number claiming she was not allowed to share that information. Asked me to leave. At no time did I raise my voice, speak to her in a disrespectful way or demean her. The only conclusion I have is she was having a bad day—twice or she was triggered by me as a Muslim woman. I guess I didn’t juxtapose with her bias. I guess- welcome to...
