The rental company here is terrible. They put myself and my family in danger by renting us a truck with an expired battery and low oil, tire pressure, no washer fluid, and garbage inside the truck from previous renters. The truck broke down and left us stranded for over a day, Home Depot did nothing to help us and their roadside assistance (Element) did absolutely nothing to help us. I had to fix the truck myself and replace the oil and battery while stuck in another state. The manager of the rental department didn’t seem to care at all once we brought the truck back. There was also damage to the wheel well when we rented it that they were aware of that made turning very difficult. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. Or if you do, make sure you have AAA because if you break down, they will not help you at all. When we were stranded I called the Home Depot rental department and the guy said “Well what do you want me to do about it? Its Elements issue” then when I called Element they said “It’s Home Depot’s truck and their rental service so they should be helping you.” We were reimbursed for the battery and hotel we were forced to buy from being stranded but they didn’t want to pay for the sales tax or the oil until we kept pressing. But no refund for the rental itself was issued even though the truck was unfit and unsafe for driving. The manager of a different department (Jessica) was great and the only person trying to help us when we finally returned the vehicle and she’s not even in rentals. The manager of the rental department (Herina) wasn’t sympathetic or caring at all. I would rather move using horse and buggy than to ever rent from this Home Depot again.

ve been a loyal Home Depot customer for over 20 years as a homeowner, investor with 10 Properties, and a licensed realtor who often refers clients to shop here and even open credit cards. Unfortunately, my recent experience has been extremely disappointing. I purchased paint that came with lumps in it, but the store refused to accept a return/exchange. On top of that, a few years ago they remodeled my kitchen, which was supposed to take 60 days but dragged on for 9 months. They measure my dishwasher wrong and it could not pull out because of the refrigerator . and I was promised compensation that I never received. I am a pro member and I have a business credit card. Both credit cards total $40,000 all the money I’ve spent with them over the years, I feel like Home Depot treats their clients poorly and does not value long-term customers.

I had to badger them to pull an order I put in 2 days before. They were missing parts and would not pull them from another store. They pulled order wrong. They kept me on hold for over an hour while they ignored me. In person shopping is a less burdensome experience. It is difficult shopping as a contractor. No dedicated checkout or support for contractors. Have to wait in line behind homeowners and those that cannot speak the language as they search for a means to pay for thier items. I've been steadily moving my business to Lowe's. They are more supportive of contractors. I strongly recommend you order from Lowe's for pick up orders. Service at home depot is brutally bad.

I normally don't post reviews but to save other people from the hassle, I have decided to do so. My advice would be if you plan on buying appliances-- go elsewhere. My husband and I went to Home Depot in the thruway plaza on November 26th 2018 (Cyber Monday) and bought a Samsung washer and dryer for a great deal. Our first sign that this was going to be a mistake was when the girl in the appliance department selling us the appliances didn't know what parts we needed for the dryer (she tried telling us we don't need a new vent which when I spoke to the department manager a few weeks later he said that is false and she should have known that) and she had no idea how to scan coupons for the Cyber Monday deal. About 2 weeks later, the washer and dryer were delivered BUT the girl ordered us a ELECTRIC dryer instead of the GAS dryer we requested. I ended up calling the location to complain and from that point forward only spoke with the department manager, Eddie (which was the only good experience of this whole ordeal- he was very professional). We were told they wouldn't be able to deliver until December 26th. That day, we never received a phone call to tell us they weren't coming (I called about 4PM and found out that way that the date was pushed back) and the new delivery date would be 1/4/19 and I told them we would be on vacation and we had to reschedule (1/11/19). I received a voicemail that morning that Samsung would be out delivering and would be delivering to us between 2PM-6PM that day and that a Samsung representative would call us a half hour ahead of time. I received a call about 1PM from Ryan (who was very short with me), he said "we will be there in a half hour with your appliances" and hung up before I could tell him that I wasn't going to be home until 1:45. When he got there and I wasn't there he called and was very nasty to me...when we got there he and another representative took our old appliances and hooked up the new washer with the valves screwed up so hot was coming out cold, cold was coming out hot. I just feel like if you are going to charge a good amount for delivery/set up/ and taking old appliances you should be PROFESSIONAL and know how to do your job in the first place. They also refused to hook up my dryer for some dumb reason and told me to call a handyman. That was it for me and I called Home Depot and threw a fit. Eddie (appliance manager) was at my house within a half hour to finish getting everything set up. I was only refunded about $27 for all of the hassle. Waiting 1.5 months for this was not worth it! GO...

HE BEGAN TO YELL AS WELL SAYING..ASK HIM. I TOLD HIM PLEASE DON'T YELL AND ME SIR. I LEFT HIM STANDING THERE (to avoid conflict) AND WENT TO ANOTHER WORKER (Causcian gentleman) WHO WAS VERY KIND AND ANSWERED MY QUESTION WITH SUGGESTIONS. I THEN WENT TO CHECK OUT. THE CASHIER (Africian) NEVER GREETED ME. I ASKED HER MY TOTAL. SHE SAID I HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE SCREEN TO COME BACK. SHE THEN TOLD ME TO JUST SIGN. I SAID MAAM, I ASKED YOU FOR MY TOTAL PLEASE. SHE JUST LOOKED AT ME. I ONLY KNEW MY TOTAL BECAUSE IT THEN CAME UP ON THE SCREEN. SHE NEVER ADDRESSED ME. SHE NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED ME AND SHE NEVER SAID HAVE A NICE DAY. SHE JUST LOOKED AT ME. WHAG A HORRIBLE HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE AT THE CHEEKTOWAGA HOME DEPOT. IT USED TO BE SUCH A PLEASANT PLACE TO SHOP. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HISTORY AND OUT OF THE WINDOW. NOW I WILL HAVE TO DRIVE TO THE ELMWOOD LOCATION AND PRAY THAT THEY STILL HAVE SOMETHING I SUPPOSE HAS GONE OUT OF STYLE...MANNERS, POLITENESS, CONCERN AND GOOD OLD DECENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. SUCH A SAD SAD EXPERIENCE. MY OVERALL RATING IS NEGATIVE 100 ALSO I MET ANOTHER GUY AT THE CASH REGISTER, I MUST SAY HE WAS AWESOME. HE WAS ANOTHER NATIONALITY. HE GREETED ME, HELPED ME, SHOWED ME WHAT I NEEDED. I WISH I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN HIS NAME. HE ACTUALLY A RAY OF SUNSHINE IN THE MIDST OF THIS ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE IN THE VALLEY OF HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE. THANK YOU FOR THE OPPROTUNITY...

I came into the the Home Depot on January 19, 2019. I had gotten paint a few days prior and when I put it on my walls it turned out purple instead of gray like I wanted.I knew that I couldn’t return it but I thought maybe someone could help me lighten the color. The people in the paint department two females,Were extremely rude to me and acted threatened by me they obviously did not want to help but in that moment I needed a serious opinion about what to do about my color. As I thought that was their job.But instead nothing but attitude and rolling of the eyes. I was able to get the paint lightened and headed to the flooring department. I am six months pregnant and asked for help with picking up some peel and stick vinyl flooring. No one helped me and I had to move About 15 rolls of at least 20 pound vinyl flooring all by myself to get to the one that I wanted. It was a very dangerous task for me. But no one seem to care. I headed on over to the front to cash out. A woman named Deborah was extremely rude to me and kept rolling her eyes. I was trying to explain how I had already had the paint when I came in and that a young man at the front told me to see him before I cashed out because he knew that I had the paint.Unfortunately the man had already left by the time I cashed out. So I asked her what should I do and she didn’t respond she just rolled her eyes in anger. I asked her what her problem was and she decided to laugh in my face. I am a store manager and have dealt with customer service for over 10 years and have never been treated like such scum.I will never ever go back to the Home Depot after this experience I will bring my business to either value or Lowe’s, never at...
