I’m writing my experience here because otherwise it seems I will not be heard anywhere else. So please read this and consider what i’ve been through. (Mentions of discrimination/awful management)
I’m a now ex employee of this dunkin, i’ve worked there for months up until today. The manager here, Jordan, isn’t a good manager at all. she has favoritism towards certain employees and doesn’t care about the rest/treats them as well as her favorites. For starters I remember the first incident I had with her, another employee was talking down about me/bullying the way I take orders. Instead of stopping the employee; Jordan just stood there and let it happen until I said something and left my shift early. When about to quit Jordan convinced me to stay and had the co worker (who i’m choosing not to say) apologize to me.
Second incident is where I felt discrimination. Last week Jordan had texted me claiming I stole 3 orders of hash browns. Having terrible memory I just believed her and was ready to pay the amount she said I owed next time I clocked in. Then that’s when it occurred to me that I should check my bank account just to be sure and I found a charge. When I encountered Jordan about this, she dismissed everything I was saying and told me she wouldn’t know what the charge is for. Keep in mind the store has cameras and the cash register (POS) consists of records used to make payments. She did not check any of that and was just ready to write on my record that I am a thief. I am a black woman, and she is caucasian, claiming that I stole something that both of my co workers vowed I did not stole. It took me contacting the general manager to check the records for her to listen and remove the write up. Otherwise she would not check for me. I quit the job because I could not stand being under her management and blatant favoritism/mistreating of me anymore. I hope whoever newly applies for this job is in for a whirlwind because I’m telling you right now, this job is extremely unprofessional and judge mental.
Oh and one last thing, we once had a bunch of expired refresher syrup that hadn’t been thrown out since October in our fridge. Jordan had never checked it and she didn’t throw them out till a substitute employee (from another Dunkin location). Called and told her about it....
Read moreThere are certain things that just can't happen. I have a three strikes and you're out policy. Went in on 9/16 in the afternoon and several employees were cleaning. Ladders were out, black bags were loosely placed over equipment and employees were using buckets of cleaning solution and an abrasive brush to clean the ceiling and high parts of the store. The cleaning solution was dripping down onto everything below. My coffee had to be brewed (they didn't have any fresh) and while it was waiting, the employee set the bucket down a few inches away from where my open coffee cup was waiting for the coffee to brew. We are talking less than 6 inches away as he continued to dip the brush in and out of the bucket. (As careful as anyone can be, stuff splashes out). I eventually said I was worried about my coffee tasting like soap water which led to the reply of, "it's not soap water, it's bleach". I think it goes without saying that doesn't make it any better. I'm not a health safety expert and I think a lot of those protocols are excessive, but I'm pretty sure bleach dripping from the ceiling onto prep surfaces is probably against the rules. On one other occasion the line moved so slow I left and on a second occasion I had placed a mobile order and had to abandon it (losing my money - it's not worth the hassle to try to get three bucks back). I like the product but I'm done with Dunkin. I've deleted the app. There are other coffee choices.I just can't get...
Read moreI DO NOT RECOMMEND , ONLY 5star GOES TO A OLDER LADY WORKER that makes up for the many issues I see here daily! HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF SHE IS THERE but make sure you have time because no other staff working half the time if they even are there. (Joanne I believe her name is) (older lady, dark hair, name starts with a J I believe)
J greets me with a smile religiously & majority of the time I don’t see anyone else working . I get amazing customer service and that’s unfortunate because that is going straight in the garbage because the staffing/management is not there and makes this store look like a fool.
I can’t complain , I choose to go to this location that doesn’t value their customer enough to take measures ensuring enough staff is present & working so that my experience is neutral at least , timely and consistent. not timely , not consistent and on just luck of the draw they drew a big stick With J so my experience with...
