12-2-18 DO NOT EAT HERE...SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!! My husband and I were looking for a small diner to stop and have breakfast at before going grocery shopping and decided to give this place a try due to being right next to Wegmans and having a 4.2 Rating. We walked in and waited a few minutes for seating and were sat at a table that was connected to another group of people and was a tight squeeze to get into so we asked to move to a booth nearby. After atleast 10 minutes of waiting for someone to come over just to greet us and take our drink order I started to get a little irritated. A tall, thin, blond server who was in her late 40’s to early 50’s finally made her way to our table and did NOT apologize for the wait, her name or any of the morning specials but instead said “what can I get you to drink”. I ordered an apple juice and she said uuum yeah did you want a water as well because our juice only comes in a small size (it wasn’t what she said but how she said it and seemed a bit unprofessional). We waited another 10 minutes for our drinks so we were already 20 minutes in and finally just receiving something to drink. My husband ordered the steak and eggs breakfast (he wanted fries but the fryer wasn’t on at 10:30am, odd!) and requested his steak be cooked medium rare and I ordered a veggie omelet and hash browns extra crispy. We sat waiting for another 30 minutes for our food and the waitress did not come over even once and refill my husband’s drink or apologize for the loooong wait (we ordered breakfast...not a 4 course meal). After finally receiving our food it was clear that we would NEVER EVER come back to this diner. Mind you I had been irritated about the service the whole time and complaining to my husband and he did not complain once (even after having an empty drink for a half an hour) until we received the food. My husband cut into his steak and it was very well done when it was supposed to be medium rare and she even read the order back to us when I asked her to. My husband immediately told the woman that he was not eating it and she removed it from the table. My home fries that were supposed to be crispy were soggy and plain and my omelette looked like it had been sitting for hours and was cold, had no flavor and unappetizing. When the waitress came I told her that I was not eating my food either and to please bring the bill for our drinks. After a few minutes she returned and said the drinks were on the house lol We wasted well over an hour and left as hungry and thirsty as we entered. I am 35 years old and was a server when I was in my early 20’s so I know how customers could be and also know what to look for in a good server. My problem with this diner was the service and the food. The waitress had a negative attitude and her tone was off putting. She did not make us as customers a priority and left us sitting their to watch others eat and drink instead of enjoy our time and meal together. If I could give this diner a big fat zero I would! Terrible food and customer service...better off eating somewhere else or making...
Read moreGood cooking, good food ,worthy restaurant! Decent pricing! -Update, 3months from the first portion of this review. Changed from 4Stars to 5 Stars. I love this restaurant, I love the staff. Such an enjoyable place to have a Great meal. Typically I don't eat dessert at restaurants but I happen to be a huge fan of Baklava and they have it, now, I get dessert every time I am there which is about 2-3 per month. So, when I first arrived in town, there was no real supply chain issue and I ordered the Thanksgiving Panini, BEST Panini I've ever had!! Most place over cook the panini and it ends up way to hard and cuts up your gums. Unfortunately, they've had to change Panini bread distributors (temporarily due to the supply chain shortages) but I still figured I'd order it to see the difference, well let me tell you the taste was still phenomenal, just the bread was not a panini it was just that, bread! BUT I do not blame them at all and it was still a delicious meal. They did the best they could with what they had and personally I like that! Give them a try, you...
Read morePancakes or French toast are my go-to choices whenever I eat out for breakfast. While back in Churchville for my 40th class reunion, I stayed with my aunt and uncle. They come to this restaurant regularly on Sunday mornings and they invited me along. What a great place to gather for a good meal and a homey atmosphere. I walked in and the scents were warm and welcoming. Sat down for my bottomless cup of coffee refilled by an attentive wait staff. I chose the cinnamon-swirl French toast. What a GREAT choice I made. Hot and flavorful, I had the full stack with a side of bacon, orange juice, and the never-ending cuppa joe! I can’t wait to move back home so I can visit the Town & Country Family Restaurant more often! I highly recommend spending a morning here for breakfast. A delight to my senses all...
