This restaurant is shockingly not as packed as I expected, unless it is still new. The owner and staff are beyond courteous, polite, respectful, and attentive. The restaurant was quite subtle, peaceful, and casual. The music was not bad, rather traditional mariachi or Hispanic music. The food is amazing. The portions are impressively generous and affordable. I loved that the owner was open to customization, flexible, and open-minded with the menu. I ordered the bean and cheese pupusas for my dad, my uncle Mark, and myself to share and try. All three of us felt they were pretty tasty. My dad really enjoyed the sauce that came with the bean and cheese pupusas. I liked the pickled cabbage that was served with it as well. I had not had pickled cabbage before, but it reminded me of pickled carrots, although better. I know my Uncle Mark ordered the carne asada, which was served with rice, salad, and beans. He felt the carne asada was juicy, flavorful, and tender. The rice was equally tasty. He wished the beans were black beans, which are one of his favorites. He felt the salad was a simple and light, nice addition to the dish. My dad had a chicken wrap with avocado, cheese, and sour cream. He really loved the flavor of the chicken in the wrap. He felt everything he had in the chicken wrap was tasty as well. He did not mind the fries. The only thing he did not eat was the coleslaw, since he does not enjoy coleslaw. I ordered a custom sandwich, a breaded chicken sandwich with teriyaki sauce and avocado. My custom chicken sandwich was super flavorful on my first bite, and it was nice that everything complemented each other. I did not enjoy the colesaw, although I am not do fond of colesaw in general like my dad. I felt the fries, were not bad. I also really enjoyed the hortcha drink. The hortcha had a lot of flavor and taste. You also cannot forget about the courtesy chips and salsa, which my dad, Uncle Mark, and I all enjoyed. Overall, this food place seems to be in need of more recognition and more customers! Their food overall was delicious, and collectively we all enjoyed it. Looking forward to eating here again in the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIn Nanuet a night for business and most restaurant choices are either chains or have mediocre review ratings. Saw that Dylanās had been open about 3 weeks gave it a shot.
Walked in and plopped myself down at the bar (there doesnāt appear to be any alcohol but Iām not positive) and was promptly greeted. The only other patrons were a couple.
Ordered steak fajitas and a Diet Coke. Soft drink came immediately and after a few minutes I was served some nice hot chips with a mild salsa. My entree arrived shortly after.
With not many photos to go by I was expecting traditional vs gringo style, but seeing macaroni salad served with meat, rice, and beans was different. The meat and bell pepper mixture had a gravy with a little bit of a curry flavor.
The best and worst part of the meal were the freshly made tortillas. They only gave two and they are on the small side⦠but were hot, freshly made, and absolutely delicious. When they noticed Iād finished those and still had over half of my food left they offered more, which I heartily accepted, and a minute or two later I was rewarded with another pair.
After using up all four of my tortillas up I still had about 1/3 of my meat and rice which I mixed together with some of the beans and just polished off with a fork.
Service was great, food tasted good, only suggestion would be to give more than two tortillas with the initial order.
If I am back in Nanuet Iād...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA MUST! Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch with my son after shopping. The food was the freshest, most authentic, delicious I have experienced. The nachos were warm and the salsa yummy. We had the soft chicken tacos and papusas. OMG! Every bite was a taste explosion! The mojitos were refreshing and perfect. Add to that a nice, clean, spacious restaurant area with a bar and pool table, great music, and friendly responsive staff, and it made for a fabulous experience! Left full but not too full because the ingredients were all so fresh and light, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. I...
