Neat, clean, big store, with plenty of selections, fair prices and fresh produce. Since the store is fairly new I am sure inventory of popular items is a work in progress, nevertheless I think they have done a great job with stocking up. The location is great! The cash register rings up items and their prices clearly on the screen just like a shop rite or comparable stores, which makes you feel reassured that you have not been cheated, unlike most Indian grocers who randomly pull prices and hand you a lengthy bill with "grocery" and "produce" as the only two categories. Their fresh snacks aren't very good, a lovely fresh food counter would really be an icing on the cake. It usually gets working couples to make a stop every once in a while to grab a chaat/ samosa/ ragda/ ready fresh meals to go, obviously the customer will buy something.
Its funny, I see more suspicion on the owner's and cashiers' faces and plenty of snappy comments than smiles and courtesy to everyone since a month. Not sure what the matter is but you could easily beat your competition in the nearby areas with their tiny and overpriced stores. Its a great store, keep it that way!! My friends and I love it. Install CCTVs if shop lifting is a problem, but don't be rude to the customers who have been promoting your lovely store by...
Read moreI cook Indian food regularly for my family so a good Indian grocery store is a necessity. This one was recommended by multiple Indian friends, and I have been its loyal customer for a few years now. There are large selections for every category of food stuff that you will need. I regularly replenish my pantry and fridge with their spices, chutneys, legumes, nuts, basmati rice, paneer, yoghurt, masala naan, fenugreek roti, and snacks - oh the snacks! There are shelves after shelves of snacks! My children swear by their paras and my husband loves burning his mouth with extra hot Punjabi or Bombay mixes. I also love their produce section - you can always find the most beautiful okra at the start of the isle, and many varieties of veggies that can be used not just for Indian cooking, but also for Chinese or Japanese dishes. The owners are Sikh, so it's a vegetarian shop, which really suits this vegetarian writer...
Read moreThis morning I went grocery shopping here to buy some vegetables. I picked up one of these boxes just to realize after I came back home that it is expired. So I called them to ask if I could be provided with a refund and the owner spoke to me very harshly and completely disrespected me. He continuously kept raising his voice at me. I have never been treated this way. I live far away and can’t drive back all the way to return just one product. It might not be a big deal for them, but I don’t like consuming expired products. Please learn to use the right tone when you speak to your customers. I am very disappointed. And please remove expired products from your store. I didn’t check the expire date myself because I assumed the storekeepers job was to take care of that. With covid19 already spreading so fast, the last thing customers need is consuming expired food products. Never going back...
