Let me start this off by saying this was MY personal experience. I am not trying to convince people not to come, the smoothies are good, but as a first-day-of-opening visitor, I was pretty peeved. My review is just to bring awareness to whomever wants to read it. It starts off by my confusion when I see 9 people + 1 manager working on the floor. Immediately upon entering I hear people talking about drinks that need to be made and them not knowing where people's orders are or who needs to do what. Super chaotic right off the bat. I'm waiting to order and I quickly learned why it's taking 5-10 minutes and 9 people to make a single smoothie. When an order is placed, they stick the ticket onto a blender, read it, place a FEW ingredients, then pass it to the next person who does the same thing. I watched 4 people read the same ticket and place only a few ingredients in. Insanely inefficient, the epitome "too many cooks". There were people just staring at the wall not knowing what to do. Maybe this was how they decided to train their employees, all in one go. When it was my turn to go up, I asked "what is turbinado?" (since I genuinely did not know) and the cashier tells me how it's a unique type of sugar processed in south America etc etc, so I ask him, "is this a SWEETENER?"(since I wanted to know if it was sugar-free sweetener like splenda) and he said "yes, it makes it sweeter", which did not answer my question but now I know it's just brown sugar. After waiting for a while for my drink, it comes out 33% missing and the manager holds it up and says "Come on guys, this has been all day with the 44oz". How does something like this happen all day? So I waited for the remake and the manager actually came up to me and apologized, I told him "hey man, it is what it is" and he told me it was their first day and to make it up to me, he'll give me a coupon. He then proceeds to grab a coupon that's already on the self-serve station or (condiment station) that is READILY available for anyone to take and acts like it's accommodation (to be fair I didn't ask for, nor did I want, accommodation). To add salt to the wound, he handed me a straw and after I had already left, I learned that their longest straw does not fit their largest drink (it's too short).

Read moreDecided to try this Smoothie King and I will not be going back. I wanted to build my own smoothie and they charged me almost $18 for blueberries, strawberries, banana, vegan protein powder, kale and oat milk. Then, when the lady behind the counter started to make my smoothie I saw how gross the fruit looked. The bananas were all open and browning, the strawberries looked like they had been sitting out for days (broken up and sitting in gross bubbly water) and there were flies everywhere. I was grossed out, but didn’t want to be rude. Then the lady took two heaping scoops of the gross strawberry water and put it into the blender and I couldn’t handle it anymore. I asked her if she could exclude the water and she said that she couldn’t make my smoothie without the water that the strawberries were sitting in. A second person came out and said “sorry all of our smoothies have water in them” so I asked if I could have the oat milk that I paid $1.00 extra for instead of the water and they said no. They were unwilling to compromise so I asked for a refund and they tried to give me only the money for my smoothie back, not the $1.60 that I added on my credit card for tip. After a few minutes of going back and forth I asked them to call their owner and finally after 10 minutes I finally got the full amount I paid back. Be cautious going here, it looks healthy, but half of the smoothies are made with ice cream, their fruit isn’t fresh, there are flies everywhere and you are paying for half a...
Read moreMy husband ordered 2 "strawberry" smoothies, and the color was beige. My husband asked if it was strawberry and the guy confirmed that it was, so he trusted his answer and left with the 2 smoothies. Upon arriving home, my daughter took a sip and said it tasted like peanut butter! Sure enough, that's what it was. I tried calling the shop, but they only have a prerecorded answering machine, so hopefully this review will get their attention. You can NOT make a mistake like this, as there are many people with serious peanut allergies and a mistake like this can potentially cost someone's life! I understand that you're a new business to the neighborhood, but you must properly train your staff to be cautious, especially with peanut butter. Thankfully, we do not have peanut allergies, but I have family members who do, and this could've went a different direction had they been around and drank it. The fact that the employee confirmed that it was strawberry after my husband had questioned it is beyond me. I can not stress enough that this could've been a GRAVE mistake. I hope this reaches management and I also hope that this will prevent a potential future mistake that can injur someone. Lastly, you should have a working phone and not a prerecorded...
