I'm writing this review in hopes that it reaches the right people at the restaurant. My husband and I came in excited to try this new Mexican restaurant, we saw that the prices went from $8 to $20 for a dish which we were fine with because its a new business and there was no one there but us and one other table. We were seated back-to-back to the only other people in the restaurant which made it a little bit awkward since it was quiet and we could hear everything they were saying and vice versa. No big deal! After waiting a few minutes the waitress came over took our drinks, the biggest complaint that I have for sure is with the service. Our waitress did not seem happy to be there and seemed very inconvenienced by the things that we needed, we asked for limes for the Barilla tacos and she brought us lemons after a ten minute wait while we had the food, when we asked for limes she said they did not have them, which struck us odd for a Mexican restaurant. We used the lemons. The food was good! We had Barilla and the Baja tacos. We loved their chips and salsa and the ambiance was fun!

When the food came another server dropped it off and our server never returned after bringing lemons so we didn't get any refills on our drinks or our chips. She never returned to ask how the food was, if she could get us anything else, or to offer dessert or really checked in at all. After twenty minutes I had to get up and find her in order to ask for a refill and the bill. She was sitting chatting at a table around the corner with another server and we were the only customers in the building. She was very shocked when I spoke to her in Spanish but remained bothered by our presence and not very hospitable. 🤷

It's a shame that employees can take someone's dream and completely collapse it for lack of care and work ethic. The food is pretty good and I would return to the restaurant and give it another chance for sure but I hope this review reaches management and something is done about the lackluster and completely unacceptable service that we received from "J" when we were there.

I absolutely loved the interior the decoration is just so on par and you really feel like you're in Mexico when you walk through the doors! I hope this place makes it !! Seems like someone put a lot of...

La Cocina was an interesting experience for us. The place itself still appears to be undergoing renovations from the old Outback look. Point being if you know it was an Outback, despite the decorations you feel like you're in an Outback. No biggie though overall. The service was the most disappointing. Not because anyone was rude or anything of that nature. Our server seemed to be running around to all the tables doing his best while there also appeared to be a bunch of other employees just standing around. Because he was so busy things just seemed to take longer than usual, especially for a restaurant that wasn't even half full at the time. We at one point asked one of those employees for extra napkins and we never got any until we got up and got them ourselves. So unfortunately, it was highly disappointing from that end. The food itself was pretty good, no complaints to be found here. I think the challenge is, there are many wonderful Mexican restaurants in our area with great food and service. I hope others have better experiences and this business learns and grows. For now we will likely be going to other favorites and hope to give this a try again in the...

Nice brand new restaurant, where Outback used to be. Confusing to find the parking entrance as you circle around, and the entrance is behind the restaurant. Because they are so new, they don't yet have a liquor license, so no margaritas, but they said they should have it soon.

We visited for an early dinner on a Friday evening. There was no wait for a table, the restaurant was very clean, colorful themed decor.

We enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa. They have a big menu, including good kids options for my picky littles. The prices were somewhat higher than similar places, however the portions were generous and everything tasted freshly prepared. My children liked the plain quesadillas, and we also tried the fajitas and a combination plate. The only thing we didn't particularly enjoy were the cheese nachos, which tasted good but had too much cheese and it made the chips in the middle too soggy.

Hope to see them become more established and we'll...

We tried La Cocina for dinner this evening. Our party of 6 enjoyed the food very much. No liquor license yet, so we couldn't get a margarita, but they will have it next week. Chips and salsa were very tasty. The menu options have all the plates you expect, amd then some others that were less common and actually pretty special. Camerones chipotle was one. My daughter had this and the sauce is spicy! I had pork chili verde and it was tender and the tomatillo sauce served with it was delicious. Shrimp tacos had mango sauce, hubby got birria tacos and another had the largest burrito I have ever seen. Pica attached. Give them a try if you like delicious, authentic Mexican food. I do recommend it.
