Terrible, Horrible, Disgusting! Just moved to the area 6 months ago. I went to Clay wine and spirits yesterday. After buying 2 bottles of wine with my husband, we were followed to our car and accused by the owner of stealing wine from his store. I was shocked and surprised when I allowed him to search my car and the 1 Wegmans bag and bouquet of orchids I had just purchased. The owner apologized and slithered back into his store. Myself and my husband then decided we no longer wanted the 2 bottles of wine we just purchased from him and went back to return them with our receipt. The owner refused and insisted he had evidence of our theft on his camera system. I had to call the police in order to get a refund for my purchase. Police came at my request, I got my refund and the explanation from the police officer. The owner did not see anything on camera indicating we did something wrong in the store. I am a middle aged, educated black businessman and have heard about people being treated like this, and I've seen it on tv, but have never experienced such treatment 1st hand. I show up at 857 and the door is locked and the employees are sitting in there avoiding making eye contact with me. Pure laziness. Supposed to be open until 9pm. I will never shop here again. Prices are too high anyways. Go to big store...
