I shopped here today and noticed a woman being let in without a mask. I asked the manager about this. His name was Brian. He immediately flew off the handle and was quite defensive. He said he wasn’t going to risk his life chasing an unmasked customer around the store. I guess he’s not worried about the health and safety of his customers. I suggested he call the police as wearing a mask is not optional at this point in time. He again said he didn’t want to risk anything by “escalating the situation “. I told him I thought that this was basically BS and he “got in my face”, according to my daughter who was there with me. Well, come to find out, Home Store is owned by the same company that owns TJ Max and Marshall’s. It’s a company called TJX and they obviously value money over the health and safety of their customers. Good to know where this company stands on such a life and death issue. Needless to say,I won’t be going back. They also need to train their managers to be better able to handle conflict management. If Brian can’t handle a question about a mask in the age of Covid19, he should not be working in...
Read moreWanted to bring two items back one had a tag one did not I bought them in June I did not bring my receipt my fault they were the exact vases except different colors. The woman told me it was a 30 day return policy with no receipt which I understood but the tags were on there and all I wanted was store credit. I brought things back before so I wasn’t sure so when I got home I called and asked for the manager her name was Jen I explain the situation to her and she said she did her job if I’m not mistaken one had a tag them one did not I said so you We’re right there when this took place and she said yes I thought that was very odd as a manager that she didn’t step in to help the customer. over the phone she just said will make an exception now and you can bring them back she was very condescending speaking to me did not appreciate that whatsoever. As I said I did not bring my receipt but I do have it now. As a manager just needs to speak to her customers with a whole different...
Read moreThe store is overall nice which is why the 2 star rating. Brand new and clean store with nice products inside.
However, the staff is very unpleasant. Forgot my TJ Max Credit Card at home. The app says it can be manually punched in by an associate at any TJ Max, HomeGoods, Marshals ECT...you get the point. Any store in their chain. The employees here insisted they can't do it. They can't punch cards in. They argued with me even though the app says they can.
Then one employee in particular was pretty rude about it. So I said, not rudely, I'm going to call corporate to get this resolved and she said (her name is Ashley by the way) "Have fun with that. The number is on our website" and cluckled.
At the time of this review, I'm calling corporate in a few hours when I'm on break at work. Then I'm calling the store to speak to the...
