Corner Deli — Restaurant in Town of Colonie

I worked here when it was called "The Deli" for about as long as it was open. It was myself, our delivery driver, and the 2 owners. We were definitely a tight knit crew! We had the best food ever! Our sandwiches were the best around, along with our homemade salads and our daily "hot specials". We used the best cold cuts,(boars head) the best rolls, and had a great deal of passion for sandwich making. Our customers were loyal, and became family! I wish that not only was I older and wiser, but that I was in a better spot financially in my life when the owner passed and the wife put "The Deli" up for sale. It is now being operated under the name, "The Corner Deli". They do an "ok" job, but changed too much, their prices are pretty high, and they never seem to be open when I'm in the area. And now 10 years later, I am currently looking to purchase my own Deli to continue what Mike had created! I learned a great deal from him, working side by side with him for years. I have the original menu and all of Mike's recipes, and a passion for sandwich making like no other! Hopefully I will make him...

Just went in to get some breakfast sandwiches and the hospitality was atrocious. Within 20 seconds of walking in, the woman behind the counter was like "do you know what you want?!" almost aggressively. We told her we needed some time to look at the menu. Then 30 secs later, "are you ready now?" We said yes. And without even facing us, she was like "well? What do you want then?" The whole experience left an awful taste in my mouth and I will not be returning.

It blows my mind how a small business like that thinks it can treat its customers as such. I would have been more understanding if she was busy and trying to bust out orders, but there was 2 people in the restaurant. Two. I hope the owner reads this and realizes how poorly...

Woman behind the counter is rude and made my wife and I feel uncomfortable. She was snappy and I felt like I was inconveniencing her by giving this store business. They have a chicken honey mustard wrap that’s not bad, but service like this makes it harder to support small businesses. They have quirky signs all over the restaurant, but no chipper, or pleasant, or at least bearable attitude to match. Also, their ventilation is not good, don’t wear clothes here that you can not machine was, as you smell strongly even in your hair and face even when staying in the store for the short tim it takes to place a...
