I purchased a Grand Seiko Pink Snowflake Limited Edition watch from Frank Adams in June 2025. Andy Slivienski was my salesman. Andy was an absolute pleasure to work with from the start. I contacted the store about two months before I traveled to Albany (I live on Long Island). Andy confirmed they had the watch in stock. I followed up a week before my trip and Andy confirmed the piece was still available.
I was very impressed with Frank Adams' new standalone location (I bought another GS from at their Stuyvesant Plaza location in 2022 - shout out to Mary Dessormeau!). The old store was pretty but the new location is gorgeous! The space is bright, spacious, and inviting.
I came on a Friday afternoon with my wife and 2-year-old son. When I met Andy for the first time in-person, he was very personable, knowledgeable, and courteous.
Andy's level of patience and professionalism was outstanding. My son got antsy very quickly and started running around the store! Andy and the other staff trusted my wife to look after him and did not object to him being there. Not long after I tried on the watch, my son decided to poop. I mean a BIG poop! I immediately took him out to my car to change his diaper (and outfit!). When I came back in, Andy showed me where the bathroom was so I could wash my hands.
After agreeing to purchase the watch, Andy sized the bracelet for me and removed the hang tags BEFORE I paid. I have bought watches at many places. I never had a buying experience like this anywhere else. Andy trusted me to honor my commitment to buy the watch. That really stuck with me. He is a class act.
A huge thank you to Andy, Tim, Mary, and the whole team! I am grateful to have Frank Adams be an integral part of my watch collecting journey! I would HIGHLY recommend Frank Adams to anyone for their watch and...
Read moreI went to Frank Adams in early March to get a couple links for a Longines watch I purchased for my wife elsewhere while on a trip.
When we arrived, it took about 10 minutes of browsing before my wife and I were picked up by a sales person. This is pretty slow for a jewelry store in my opinion. We placed an order for two links and they told us it would be several weeks. Ok, no problem, they can’t control Longines shipping times.
While there, I wanted to also look at some rings, as I had recently lost a lot of weight and was considering a new ring to fit my now-skinnier finger. So a fairly disinterested salesperson showed us a few things before unilaterally cutting us loose to browse. It really felt like he just wanted to get rid of us. I’m not sure what he was so busy doing though, because there were only a few customers in the store.
We waited a month on the watch links and heard nothing back. My wife finally called and was told that no one had placed the order for the links. She was assured on the phone that the links would be placed that day.
Well, it’s been several more months and we never heard from Frank Adams again. We got our links from a jewelry store in Schenectady that placed our order right away, and they had the links in about a month.
My wife and I were made to feel unimportant every step of the way at Frank Adams. I will never return. You shouldn’t have to beg a business to take your money, and a good business should understand that even small purchases establish a relationship and a reputation beyond the dollar value of the...
Read moreBefore I set out to buy a ring I did my best to find a place I felt would be worth stepping into. Frank Adams stood above the competition in reviews, their lengthy history and the feeling that because this place wasn't a chain of any kind my bride to be would have a unique piece. I am glad I did some homework because my buying experience here was everything I hoped for.
I have a blue collar job and to be sitting in front of these folk in dirty pants and hoodie worried me I wouldn't be given the proper attention. This however was quickly dissipated after a few minutes with Marcel. He was knowledgeable and patience with me as he explained what dimensions a stone is evaluated on and never made attempts to nudge or move my budget. I must have sat with him on 3 separate occasions before making my purchase and the entire staff was pleasant and accommodating.
After a successful proposal I was excited to bring my fiancé in to take part in wedding band selections where of course we continued to experience exceptional service. My gal must have looked at every band in the place.
Lastly, they insisted polishing the rings before the wedding which after everything else was the icing on the cake.
I would highly recommend Frank Adams to anyone in the market and do not hesitate to ask for Marcel. To my knowledge he doesn't work Thursdays.
Thanks again Marcel and to the whole Frank Adams team. I know where I'll be going for all subsequent purchases of...
