Had dinner there tonight with my family. What began as a nice family dinner, ended with the manager completely disrespecting us. We made reservations because a friend told us the food & service were excellent. The food was pretty good. I had the chicken parm. Their red sauce could use some sugar. It was a little bitter, but everyone else seem to enjoy their meals & the portions were generous. The one star is for the food only!
The problems began when we asked the waitress for separate checks. The manager came to tell us and said that they could not do separate checks because we did not tell them ahead of our meals. FINE. She also expressed her frustration by telling us in a crowded dinning room that we were only supposed to be there for 2 hours because they had another group coming in after us. She claimed to have told us when the reservation was made. FIRST, What type of restaurant gives people a time limit to eat? Not even McDonald’s or any other fast food establishment does this. If she had told us that, we would have Taken our business some where else and not made the reservation! She proceeded to argue with us , when we told her we had no idea that we only had 2 hours to eat. Did that include the extra time it took to bring the entree that dropped on the way to us. SECOND, she blamed us for her over booking! She always had the option to say no to our reservation! THIRD, it was blatantly obvious we were the only table that she had the problem with and was rushing to leave. And, FINALLY, it’s no coincidence we were the only people of color in the whole establishment. And the only patrons that they didn’t want there. The whole evening was ruined by the managers inability to manage and she blamed us for it when we didn’t eat quick enough! She also ruined the waitresses tip on a $300+ bill. Needless to say, Me or my family will NEVER eat here again! And, We will make sure everyone knows about the disrespect and discrimination we...
Read moreMy business partner and I would come here several times a year. I would also bring my family here as well. I always raved about it to everyone. I am sad to say none of us will be returning.
There was an awesome waitress that would take care of us. We never had to tell her what we wanted as we are creatures of habit. Friendly and polite and fun to be around. The food was always great and we loved going back.
Our last visit she wasn't there and we experienced the worst service that I have ever had in going to restaurants.
My business partner and I arrived at 4pm on a Tuesday (Chicken Parm night). We were seated right away. There was another couple at the next table. We were the only people there. We had a new waitress.
We ordered chicken parm, a Caesar salad and garlic bread. At the 30 minute mark 2 more couples came in. My Caesar salad came which was supposed to be a dinner size but was a side salad for some reason and garlic bread came. At the 45 minute mark one of the groups that came in got their chicken parm dinners. We continued to wait. At the one hour and 15 minute mark the table that came in a half hour after us finished eating and they paid and left. We have patience but it ran out.
We asked the manager if we could have the check so we could leave. They had the audacity to tell us they had a lot of phone orders and they were backed up. So I guess the people in the restaurant don't matter? What a load of rubbish.
The kicker is that instead of letting us go and not charging us for the garlic bread and side salad they charged us. I don't want anything for free but really?
We loved going there and I don't like leaving reviews like this and thought about not leaving it but I had to say it. I think all in all I have been to Demarco's 60 times give or take a few.
That is fine, they lost my business, and my families. We prefer...
Read moreMy father lives around the corner and said it was great. Great doesn't come close. I would use the words exceptional, superb and delectable. They brought out a basket of warm bread to start. We started with roasted red peppers and stuffed portabella mushrooms. The peppers were sweet with the perfect amount of heat from the fresh garlic and the olive oil was clean and crisp. The mushrooms are stuffed with hot Italian sausage stuffing. Which is perfect for anyone with a seafood allergy (my mom). We split both appetizers between my father, mother, my husband and myself. Perfect amounts. My father ordered the veal with peppers. Real. Veal. None of that patty garbage. Real tender pieces of meat with green peppers. My husband got the Americano. A turkey melt with all the fixings. He could only eat half. Very good sized sandwich paired with perfectly cooked onion rings. My mother got a veggie wrap with onion rings. The wrap was huge and she took the whole thing home. But I've saved the best for last. I ordered the penne alla vodka with sausage. It. Was. Amazing. The pasta was perfectly al dente. The sausage slices were huge and tender. But the vodka sauce. That was the star of the dish. So rich and creamy. I was so full but couldn't stop picking at it. My only regret was leaving my phone outside and not getting a picture. A side salad came with it. I never even touched it. I ate about half of my dish. To say the portions are large is an understatement. Very generous. And wait staff is phenomenal. I would highly recommend...
