So I'm giving this place a 3, but don't get me wrong, this place has amazing potential.
Little about me, I travel globally quite regularly and frequent a lot of coffee places as I'm quite addicted to coffee and caffeine. I'm by no means a coffee snob, but I'm definitely an enthusiast. Take what I say with a grain of insightful salt.
Pros: Coffee was FANTASTIC. I got the German Chocolate Cake. It was extremely smooth and tasted lovely. The only thing I can really compare it to is the creamy/smooth consistency of some of Starbucks coffees. Don't get me wrong though, because I HATE, HAAAAAATTEEE Starbucks. Something about Starbucks coffee has this weird, synthetic, oily after taste no matter what you get. THANKFULLY, 7 Brews coffee is nothing like that and only had the same creaminess. The flavor was awesome and the coffee very delightful. I'd be willing to go back and try more.
Cons: I saw this place while driving and was like "oh neat, a coffee place using Sonic's (the restaurant) approach!" This was rather appealing and different, and I liked that. It also made me assume coffee would be quick and easy. Boy was I wrong. TWENTY ONE MINUTES to get 1 large coffee. That's absolutely absurd. Don't get me wrong, this place is new and the staff informed me this was their first day without trainers, so I expected a short wait, but 21 minutes is aseninen for coffee. While they were a little busy (5 or 6 cars before me in my lane), there's no reason for that long of a wait. I noticed the people taking orders at the car were spending a little too much time conversing and laughing at the car windows rather than focusing on getting orders in. It's great for rapport, but terrible in execution when wait times are so high.
Another issue is the setup. There's two lanes side by side, forcing runners with orders to cross lanes. I almost hit one of them when she came running out the door without looking to get the next order to the next vehicle. This undoubtedly will be a pain point for the business and a huge safety concern.
All in all, it's a pretty good spot and I'd try their coffee again, but I'm going to wait a while and give them a few weeks to oil and polish the gears so there's a 5-7 minute wait...
Read moreI visited 7 Brew on Saturday for the first time. I specifically went out of my way to try it as I've heard nothing but great reviews. When I pulled up I considered leaving because the line was lengthy and I'm personally impatient. However, I decided to wait it out so I could try it for myself. To my surprise the line went very quickly. There were employees standing outside taking orders on tablets. I did not show up knowing exactly what I wanted but I had an idea. I asked a few questions regarding the menu and by the employee's responses I could tell they were a little unfamiliar with it. I ended up ordering an iced sweet & salty with half sweetness. This was explained to me to be espresso with milk/cream (like a latte). Well, when I received the beverage I drove away because of how busy they were. At first sip I was extra disappointed. What I received was the definition of "Do you want some coffee with that cream?" It tasted like I was drinking half & half straight out of the carton. This beverage might only taste okay to someone who hates coffee but that's what I went there for. Just awful. I'm not sure I'll be back but if I do I know not to order that again. Yuck. Read moreTerrible costumer service. Me and my sister placed two different orders by completing 2 separate transactions. They made my sister’s drink wrong and never gave me mine. After my sister’s was corrected I reminded the girl that I never received my order. The manager comes out and starts YELLING at the top of her lungs that we were stealing and claiming that there’s no record of my transaction. I tell her that I have the app and received the points for it so there’s no way I’m stealing. It was difficult to prove my order since no receipt is given at this establishment. She continues to insinuate that I am a liar and I tell her to check her queue for my order. Turns out the order was cleared as “completed” meaning they gave my drink to someone else. After my order was found the manager never apologized and walked away. My drink was then made incorrectly and I had paid extra for it. I will never go again.
