Amazing Wok — Restaurant in Town of Colonie

Amazing Wok located in Colonie Plaza at 1892 Central Avenue is truly amazing! I have lived in Colonie for decades and Amazing Wok is second to none when it comes to flavor and texture of Chinese food. I have ordered take out from other stores and none of them have the same quality as Amazing Wok. I can go on and on about various menu selections that I love from Amazing Wok. I will leave one example. Amazing Wok’s hot and sour soup is the best I’ve ever had! It has the perfect combination of hotness and sour flavor. I’ve ordered hot and sour soup from other take out places and I’ve tried it at buffets. In every other instance, it lacks one or both of the sour flavor and the hotness. I ordered a sesame chicken combination, which includes fried rice and an eggroll for about 11 bucks. I’ve tried sesame chicken, various places and this one is pretty high up there. The chicken is cut into relatively thin strips so you get a lot of flavor. The meat does not have a lot of batter on it so you get a very high percentage of meat and the portion is very good so tons of protein . Honestly, the combination dinner is enough for two people. I found the food to be quite good. Had Shrimp and broccoli which was plentiful including shrimp. Generous portions. Egg roll crispy but not burnt. Steamed dumplings were plentiful and tasty. There is a very slight rancid detection I pick up from time to time.. Hardly noticeable but more than likely, they need to change their frying oil out. I thought prices were reasonable.
