Treated my girlfriend for her birthday. Hadn't been there before but had passed it and it looked interesting and when I looked up reviews, they were good. Made reservations for 6:30, but they really weren't necessary, plenty of open tables. This was a Thursday night. The restaurant decor/atmosphere is fun. We were seated at a table that had fixed seating like a bench on one side and seats on the other. The bench side sat higher which we thought was funny and we joked that she was queen for a day sitting up a head higher but it was not ideal. The seating was comfortable though. The waitress was very nice and attentive. We ordered drinks and appetizers to start. My friend had wine I had a dirty martini. The martini was perfect and my friend liked her wine. She ordered the butternut squash bruschetta and I got the tuna tartare with crispy wontons. They did not have the butternut squash and asked if they could sub with beets which was fine. The bruschetta with the beets was a little sweet but delicious and the tuna tartar was very good though served with tortilla chips rather than wontons but the chips were good so not a bad substitute. For dinner I ordered the schnitzel and my friend ordered the shrimp vindaloo. The schnitzel was quite frankly awful as were the spaetzle and red cabbage. All overcooked and dried out. The red cabbage was mushy with very strong clove flavor. I should have sent it back. The shrimp vindaloo was like no vindaloo I ever saw or tasted. It tasted like shrimp with hot curry rather than garam masala and arrived with cut up string beans on top. She said she liked it but she is also polite. The house cab I ordered with my entree was really good. So overall I would try it again but steer clear of the entrees. They have a small plate menu that may be a safer bet, The drinks and service were top notch and the atmosphere/decor is not run of the mill. Worth another shot. Oh and...

We love this place! My wife and I have been here 3 times since it opened and we love the atmosphere and food. I know since 2020 staffing has been a difficult challenge to say the least! We've had 3 different servers and, for a newly opened restaurant in 2022 they were all attentive and knowledgeable... that is hard to come by for any restaurant new or old!

I must say I am a fan of anything blue and there is plenty of blue lighting, accents and décor throughout but it is balanced by other textures and tones. There is a baby grand piano on the far end for the lounge/bar area. We haven't sat in the main dining room yet because the lounge is just too cool.

We've had the steak au poivre, stout braised pork chop and prime rib entrees. For appetizers we have had the bao buns, smoked salmon that also comes with a tasty deviled egg. There is a bar/lounge menu and from that we've had the fried chicken, tuna tacos and pulled pork nachos. So, everything has been outstanding! The chef and his team are already in a grove.

When we've gone it was on the weekend and the place was pretty much full but I don't think you'd have to wait long for a seat because they have a lot of options between the bar, lounge and dining room. From what I've experienced so far the future looks bright (and blue) for Storm King...

I have inhabited these halls on many a day off, everything from Juicy steaks and lamb chops to Mexican street corn to fried clams that I have consumed has been of unparalleled quality.....And of course I cannot forget the drinks, some of the cleanest tasting cocktails I have ever had, AND MOST CERTAINLY THE BEST ESPRESSO MARTINI IN NEW YORK!!! A must visit Location for Foodies and Cocktail lovers!

BRUNCH UPDATE: I had Steak Tartar on fresh fried potato chips with a beautiful mustard sauce. Sunday brunch is absolutely beautiful especially paired with a belini or mimosa

Clam Update!!! Everytime there is some sort of invertebrate on the menu it is cooked to absolute perfection 3 days in a row I have come for the clams because I can't get the taste of the spicy peppery white wine broth they were cooked in out of my head, on a completely separate note Krista the beautiful bartender has given me the perfect coctail exactly to my specifications! The drink reminded me of when my dad would make it for me, this place is not just a resturaunt but the place I go to truly relax and reflect on...

It was a Friday night at 6:30pm and the restaurant was busy. We were warmly greeted and shown to a table in the dining room. Rosie was our server and she was excellent. We got our drinks and reviewed the "Illuminated" menus, pretty cool. The regular menu was just OK for me, but the selection of specials was outstanding. We had asian dumplings to start, which were excellent. My wife had a Shrimp Vindaloo dish with Naan bread, and I had a pan fried fish special with chorizo and cannelini beans. They were both very good. Good size portions, well seasoned and presented, and very tasty. The meal was really well paced and the service was attentive and timely. We really enjoyed our meal and will return soon to check out some of the other specials!

Everything was delicious ,atmosphere was inviting very pleased that our hometown has a new edition this location has had many incarnations over the years . Initially The Idlewild Mr. Corea’s bar and Nicky’s his son place as well as Drew’s , Painters and lastly the Trestle …Super excited by the quality of the food . The staff is kind and gracious, and willing to learn, and in today’s current challenging economic climate for the ownership to make such a large investment and commitment to our town I thank them. So please come out and support this local gem … Our meal consisted of the Tuna tartare app , Veal chop ,Chicken Cordon Bleu , Crème Brûlée and Chocolate mousse cake …
