I was sadly disappointed with this rink. We had visited from Florida in December and I was looking for an activity my little brother, daughter and I could share that we all love. Besides being far too expensive for 3 people to skate ($15 per person plus $5 registration per person and $5 rental per person making it $75 plus tax. Most places where I live have it $10-12 for two hours per person and includes the rental) the skates were in bad shape. My daughter and I skate often. She competes competitively, so our ability to skate wasn’t the issue. The first pair she was given had a broken truck. The second pair wasn’t much better. The ones I was given were uneven cushions and poorly maintained wheels. The rink itself is like plastic boards puzzle pieces together and moves under your feet. It was so uneven, and it was FREEZING. Much colder than even an ice rink would have been. It was actually warmer outside that day. We stayed less than 15 minutes being unable to actually skate with their equipment or be comfortable. The gentleman took mercy and refunded a small amount of the $75 back.
In the future, if we visit again (since it’s the only location at a reasonable distance to my parent’s), we will have to make sure to bring our own skates and equipment on vacation with us. The odd flooring could have been easily ignored had the skates been in proper maintained order.
Overall, if you have your own skates and don’t mind the price (or cold in the winter), it’s not a bad establishment. The ramps looked fun. The skate shop looked to have a big selection and fair prices on wheels...
Read moreIt's been a long time since I've gone skating, let alone go to an actual skate park. When I heard about this skate park, I was super excited and couldn't wait to check it out.
After a bit, I finally made it down and knew I wanted to buy myself a pair of roller skates to get back into it. They had tons of options to choose from and the associate was very helpful!
I got a perfect pair of starter skates for a good price and found safety equipment that fit me well -- this is super important as I'm a plus size woman and lots of places don't usually carry extended sizing.
Broke in the new skates at the rink and had so much fun doing it! They have a good size rink and a skate park right next to it -- lots of space to spread out and try different things. They've also got music playing and some fun lights up around the rink, which I loved.

Read moreI would recommend Black Mamba Skate Park if you're looking for activities in the area for yourself or kids to do, or if you're planning to have a birthday party. The space is pretty big, and it's a great use of a former industrial building. One side is a skate park, while the other side is a roller rink that offers roller blades or roller skates. I brought my niece and her friend here, and they had a ton of fun. Their playlist was a nice mix too.
If you do plan to visit, I would highly recommend wearing layers, or at least a sweatshirt or hoodie if it's less than 75 degrees outside. It does get cold and drafty in there. The location was nestled further back in the industrial park.
