Tana's — Restaurant in Town of Delavan

I read the reviews and thought it would be nice to try a different place for breakfast. First I try to order a Mt. Dew but their soda machine was broke I guess. Ok not a big deal. So I ordered a Coke in a can. They brought me the soda and I asked for a glass of ice for it. It didn't come for at least 5 minutes. Still not that big of a deal. I ordered 2 eggs over easy, bacon, wheat toast, and American cheese on my hash browns. So one of my eggs had a popped yoke and the eggs were barely warm. My bacon, omg it was tougher than beef jerky, completely dry, hard as a rock. I like microwave bacon or fast food bacon better than what they served me. It was also cold. The toast.... rock hard, cold, one tiny stripe of butter down the middle. It was like a giant cruton. Then the hash browns. Also cold, they threw the cheese on right before serving it to me and since they potatoes were cold obviously the cheese didn't melt at all. I can't believe any diner could screw up a single breakfast so bad. I never really write reviews but had to this time. I won't be going back and I have no idea how this could even happen. After leaving a horribly run restaurant across town (Jaime’s), we decided to come to Tana’s.

BEST IDEA! We were welcomed with friendly smiles, told we could have a seat anywhere in the restaurant and were tended to immediately.

Alyssa, our waitress, was TOP NOTCH! She was so polite, friendly and warm. She made us feel like regulars on our first visit!

As people walked in, they were greeted by name, their drinks brought out to them. Liz, the other waitress was also really kind and polite, asking if we needed anything.

Liz and Alyssa ran this place like a fine tuned machine! Laughs filled the walls as they engaged with everyone.

THE FOOD WAS 🔥 FIRE 🔥! Cooked to perfection. Lots of flavor and it came out so quickly! We had an omelette with American, Swiss, onion and ham. SO GOOD! The chicken dumpling soup was delicious too!

My husband and I were in the area for a weekend and saw this place on Google. We love trying new places. We were not disappointed at all. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. My husband ordered the Swedish pancakes and I had the meat lovers skillet. So yummy! Our waitress, Liz, was incredible and ran the dining room like a boss! So pleasant to talk to. Got the chance to say hi to the owner and she was also the cook. To say it was a comfort meal and just downright good cooking would be an understatement. It was so good that we went back the next day for lunch. Again, it was a homerun. Pleasantly surprised to see our same server again.
