Great Escape Ice Cream Parlor — Restaurant in Town of Dix

So creamy, delicious, homemade ice cream with a very warm and kind person. We asked her for suggestions, and she recommended cheese cake, banana, and coffee from homemade ice cream. My kids are not a big fan of bananas, so we didn't order that one, which I now regret as cheese cake ice cream was heavenly delicious. Coffee one tasted like fresh grounded coffee. The parlor was clean, and it gives you that retro vibe. As if you walked into an ice cream parlor from back to the future, drive back trips. Loved everything about this place, and it's conveniently located right around watkins Glen Park. A prime ice cream shop at a prime location with a prime staff. A must try!

Food: Two options to choose from: homemade vs Hersheys. We chose homemade and not disappointed! Great selection of flavors and you can taste how fresh it is. We sampled many, and settled for scoop of Banana Foster and scoop of Cannoli. Amazing! Fresh bananas in there. Real cannolis mixed in. Scoops are HUGE. The owner was there and he basically served us a pint with two scoops.

Service: the owner greeted us and was SUPER nice, made us feel at home. Gave us many samples and told us the story of the parlor.

Atmosphere: clean, updated in the inside, plenty of space inside to sit. We sat outside on the tables to enjoy our ice cream under the sunshine. Calm and chill place....

The ice cream here is absolutely delicious – rich, creamy, and clearly homemade with love. Every flavor we tried was yummy, and the milkshakes were super tasty too – thick, flavorful, and refreshing. We were also really impressed with their vegan choices, which were just as delicious and thoughtfully made.

The girl at the store was so sweet and helpful, patiently guiding us through the different flavors and making great recommendations. Her friendly attitude made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend for a tasty treat, great service, and options...
