We had a great time hiking up the Gorge Trail. It was hot that day and the cool waterfalls were a blessing. Make sure you have good hiking shoes or water shoes for the hike. Make sure to walk across the bridge and go down the other side to experience the whole adventure.
It clearly states on the website and literature that dogs are not allowed on the Gore Trails. The trail is wet and slippery in many places and it's only common sense that allowing dogs would be dangerous in this area not only to themselves, but to other visitors. There is a fairly boring trail that dogs are allowed on. It's nothing to write home about, but you can walk your dog and give them some exercise and a little exploration excursion.

Read moreI saw Cavern Cascade and Rainbow Falls. It was busy, but that is to be expected on a holiday weekend. Fairly easy hike, but there were alot of steps. Since it was busy, I was forced to go slower which is fine because I was just taking in the views. Gorge trail is the trail you want to take to get the best views. I hiked Gorge trail all the way until it met with Indian trail. The I took Indian trail most of the way back. There were some wet spots, so be prepared to get a little wet. I wore tennis shoes and they were fine. Nice bathroom facilities at the entrance...
Read moreI'd love to say I got to experience the beauty everyone has been blessed to see, but I was sadly not able to. If you visited on July 12th, 2023, and heard a scream echoing from the cavern - it was me. I want to put this here as a reminder that this is a cavern with natural rock faces. PLEASE be careful! Rocks fall, and I have the bruise on my back to prove it. However, as this place is absolutely beautiful and worthy of the 5 stars, I will mark it so.
