We saw the sign for a vegan restaurant while driving to Waterfall Glenn and knew immediately we had found our lunch spot. Collectively my family tried drunken noodles, pad see aew, ginger sauce, and Thai fried rice. We were all incredibly impressed by the freshness of the food, the complex flavors, and the beautiful presentation. The tofu was excellently cooked and even convinced a couple tofu haters that it actually can be delicious! Even the miso soup and salad that came with the lunch special was spot on and a favorite. We all agreed that this was the best Thai food we had ever had, even the family members who aren't vegan!!

Make sure you don't sleep on the amazing desserts!! We had the fried bananas, coconut dessert, and taro pearls in coconut cream. The fried bananas were fresh and flaky with maximum banana flavor and perfectly accompanied with syrup and coconut cream. The coconut dessert was delightfully surprising in texture and had a subtle sweetness that was perfectly offset by a very slightly savory top. It is my sister's new life goal to recreate this dessert she loved it so much! The taro pearls in coconut cream was warm, light, and sweet in a lovely cozy way. The taro pearls themselves had a great texture and flavor and were handmade. The toasted sesame seeds on top was truly the perfect addition for a little bit of crunch.

The owner is incredibly kind and extremely helpful. He walked us through the menu and made sure we all got dishes at our appropriate spice level! He also was always there with what we needed, be it water or new silverware etc, but it didn't feel like he was overly checking in.

The ambience of this place is well thought-out with clean lines and simple decor that makes the space feel bright and special. You could easily come here for a casual lunch or a nicer date! Literally come any time and all the time!

Overall, this restaurant is a must for anyone in the area! We seriously cannot think of a single thing that would need improvement. Worthy of its 5...

After visiting Watkins Glen State Park, we were starving. In the tiny town that Watkin Glens is, we were SO excited to find a all vegan place! Green Elephants did NOT let down. WOW. Great all vegan Thai place located right on the Main Street.

The place is cozy & charming. The staff was friendly. The food was AMAZING. Its really exciting to find a ALL vegan Thai place because that’s a rare find. Its comforting to know that whatever you order, is all vegan.

What we got:

Golden bags: These delicious fried goodies came out for our appetizer. Fried to perfection and loaded with veggies, it was wonderful.

Pad Se Ew with Mock Duck: DELICIOUS! The waiter informed us that they were out of the wide style noodles so we used the thin noodles instead- just as great! It came out beautifully presented. The portion was large & filling. The sauce was perfect. The mock meat was perfectly cooked - tad on the crispy side, but still tender & juicy on the inside. The entire dish was really good. Loved the sauce & mock meat.

Thai Iced Tea with Coconut Milk: SO YUMMY!!!! I have always wanted to try Thai tea, but never found one that’s vegan. Finally tried it- so GOOD! It had such a wonderful flavor & the coconut milk was creamy & thick.

Service: The waiter was great. The food came out pretty quickly The place was clean & beautiful

If you are vegan, DO NOT SKIP THIS PLACE! Delicious & wonderful vegan Thai dishes await. If you are not vegan, DO NOT SKIP THIS PLACE! You do not have to be vegan to enjoy this...

A Delightful Thai-Inspired Experience I had the pleasure of dining with my family at Green Elephants Vegan in the heart of Watkins Glen, NY — a cozy spot offering plant-based takes on Thai and Southeast Asian favorites. The experience was nothing short of delightful. First up was the Somtum (Green Papaya Salad) — crisp, refreshing, and beautifully plated with a carved carrot flower. The shredded green papaya was perfectly crunchy and tangy, with just the right amount of chili heat at our requested medium spice level. It was balanced, zesty, and super fresh, making it the perfect appetizer to awaken the palate. Next, I dug into the Tofu Larb — a vibrant, protein-packed dish that delivered layers of flavor. The tofu was crumbled and tossed with fresh mint, red onions, scallions, chili flakes, and lime juice. It had the signature tang and heat you expect from larb, but with a soft, satisfying tofu twist. Again, the presentation was on point. The star of the night? The Pineapple Fried Rice. Hearty, subtly sweet from the pineapple, and dotted with vegetables and raisins, it hit all the right notes. The medium spice level gave it just enough kick without overpowering the dish. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the service was prompt — food arrived quickly, piping hot, and full of flavor. If you find yourself in the Finger Lakes area and craving something healthy, flavorful, and plant-based, Green Elephants Vegan is a must-try.
