Ok, listen, seriously if you are a bread lover, your diet will not survive this place!!! A fresh baked olive loaf does not make it home in the car with me. I can't even say sorry, because I know I'll do it again!! So buy more than one ... if you want to share with the family. Very well priced and such superb quality, though tiny selection as someone mentioned in another review. I say don’t worry about that because they're doing our waistlines a favor. Can you imagine if they had more stuff? I wouldn't be able to squeeze into my car to scarf down my next olive loaf:)

I was extremely polite, but someone who overheard cursed me out and the I was met with a hard time. Been coming here for 20 years and spent probably thousands of dollars - now I won't ever be coming back.
Additionally, they stick an ATM in the store and refuse to add a credit card machine. I guess we know where the money's going.
Not to mention, their prices are out of control (almost $4 for a loaf of bread) - that continues to get smaller...
Read moreNot sure if ownership changed or they changed their recipes but something is different about the bread texture, flavor and reduced size. Maybe I'm wrong?
Update. The bastone has shrunk again. I don't know what they are doing there but hopefully they stop.
Update again. Bastone is smaller than ever and they raised the prices again.
Another update. The Bastone now only takes up about 66% of the bag when I know for a fact it used to stick out of the bag.
Eventually you’ll have to pay them just to look at the bread.
