Well, ive been here a lot, never really had an issue, nice environment, typically I'd give it 3-4 stars..... however..... I'm 40 years old, and this is the first time in my life I've had to run to a restaurant bathroom to vomit from rotten, rancid, food so that was a new experience.
The visit started off ok.... I had my girl and two of our children with me. We ordered drinks, mine was a double Jack and coke. It tasted like straight soda, and the waitress teased me and said she put two shots in and her drinks from restaurants are never how she makes them at home herself. This drink typically makes my girl cringe and all she could taste is soda. The waitress took the drink to add a little more in it and when she came back it was no different, like she waited a min and brought it back with nothing added. 10oz glass, with 3oz of whiskey, 5-6oz of ice, it should not taste like straight soda and the carbonation certainly shouldn't be so strong it burns your throat like straight soda.... but whatever, I drank my soda and ordered a beer.
Everyone's food came out, my plate was the 1/2 rack of ribs. I traded a rib to my 10 year old for a cheerleader wing.... i ate 1 or 2 sweet potato fries, and started eating the next rib on the rack.... the first bite was room temp, the second bite, near the bone, I bit ice.... no big deal I'm not picky I figured I would just wait for the waitress so the chef could refire the rack. Still chewing I took a bite of cole slaw..... and after the second or third chew I realized something was very wrong and as I swallowed rot, long expired rancid rotting food. I called the waitress over immedietly and she called the manager. He apologized up and down and he kept offering me other food choices..... and he repeated food, food.... and I felt this stabbing pain in my stomach. The manager went back to check the slaw and I went to the bathroom where I dry heaved for about 5 min and threw up... twice.
There was another patron in the restroom with me, at this time, and I was so embarrassed thinking that he thought I was drunk or something. So I stood in the stall for another min. When I got to the sink, watery eyed, the manager came in to check on me, and he was apologizing still offering me more food, in the bathroom, and I wanted to vomit again. He said he checked the slaw and they had to throw out the entire container.... it was beyond bad. I had to leave, my family packed up their food, the waitress billed me 50.97 with my dinner and drinks removed from the tab. I was in such a hurry I didn't even use my member card to pay.. I almost threw up in the parking lot again but I didnt, and my stomach felt like I had a knife in it for about 4 hours. I still feel a bit queasy today off and on, but I was finally able to eat late last night and I seem to be better for the most part.
I'm offended though, rotten food really? Im offended that I even had a bill, but for me I'm going to just let it go, I will not be back, if this had been one of my children however I would have contacted a lawyer. You have to be completely useless to not know, as a chef, that food is rancid just by opening the container looking, smelling, checking the date. I had a little scoop underneath a slab of meat covered in bbq sauce so that's my excuse for...
Read moreOnly getting two stars because of the nice waitress who took it upon herself to actually wait on us after 10 min of waiting and the nachos.
Waitress literally asked if we had been helped yet and when we said no she’s like OK I will then and was overly nice which was good and it was appreciated. BUT this is about 3rd time this happened to us AT THIS LOCATION ONLY!! At this point it feels like we are being discriminated against because everyone else was being waited on perfectly fine and just like all the other times it’s taken way to long to be waited on.
Now the food- We got the nachos those were great, but my wife got the southwest salad that had way to much tortilla chips on it. I got the ahi tuna salad and the ahi tuna was way over cooked(I’ve been getting this salad for at least 5 years and know how the tuna should be cooked). It was almost as if they had cooked it way to long then put it in the refrigerator to make it “cool” again. I couldn’t eat more than 1/3 of it cause it literally was tried out. Fast forward to not even 24 hours later I’ve been extremely sick to my stomach and believe the way this fish was handled is what made me extremely sick.
I regret not saying anything about the salad, but even she was shocked I didn’t eat that much or took it home. The wait was to the point we had almost left and we probably should’ve.
Also the cleanliness of the restaurant was DISGUSTING there were messes on the floor that no one was picking up, the guy who sat us tried to sit us at one table that had food under it and I requested we sit on the next one. The bathroom was DISGUSTING toilet paper all over. The walk to the bathroom was a mess and extremely wet with just a caution sigh but no one was trying to dry it up and made my wife almost fall a few times walking to it. So if you do go, I recommend at least not going to the bathroom there. And make sure your food is...
Read moreSo, today's my first time here. The bartender was very kind, she was very attentive for as busy as she was. I ordered the Buffalo wontons with no bleu cheese, that came out wrong and the bartender noticed immediately and was sent back. So, I'm Hungry waiting for my appetizer that came out incorrectly and now I have to wait an additional 15 minutes for my wontons that I'm pretty sure they just took the blue cheese off because the they were actually cold.. however I didn't want them to send it back a second time and then them microwave it. So 15 mins later, I received my appetizer and mine I said cold food, hot plate... Then, not even three minutes after I received my appetizer my dinner came out. So I quickly scarfed my cold appetizer so that way my food wouldn't be cold as well. I ordered an 8 oz steak with crab meat shrimp and crab cakes the food was delicious except for the fact that my steak was well done and not Medium as I had asked. I was a couple of bites into my food and the bartender asked if everything was okay I told her that my steak was overcooked she offered them to make me a new one I didn't want to send my food back because of the issue I already had with the appetizer. I'm not blaming the bartender, but she should have notified the manager on duty so that way he could have comped something off of my bill since I was having so many issues. I don't feel like for me as a customer it's my responsibility to ask for a manager when you are the one that is serving me and are aware that my appetizer was wrong and then my steak was overcooked. But, regardless I tipped accordingly, and I'm writing this review because I'm hoping that maybe next time if a customer is having issues with the food coming out incorrectly, that the bartender and or wait staff will take it upon themselves to notify the manager on duty so that way another guest doesn't have...
