Empire Bagels — Restaurant in Town of Fishkill

I've given this place multiple chances but decided i'm done. I spent $40 on 3 sandwiches and a coffee. I get there and pick up the food to bring it back to work. My coworker sorted through the sandwiches and knowing that my coworkers had their correct orders I take a bite out of mine. I ordered a plain egg and cheese as I don't eat meat. As soon as I took that bite I was disgusted, there was a stack of fatty bacon on there. I know we all make mistakes, I am not perfect either but this ???? I am not sure how you can miss that. The coffee wasn't any better either. It was beyond watered down and i paid almost $7 for it! I might as well go to starbucks down the street for that price, at least I would know im getting an actual cup of coffee. I let the coffee go at first but the sandwich was not excusable to me so I brought it back. I get back no sorry, no apology, in fact it was as though I was inconveniencing them! The lady at the front couldn't make eye contact both times I was there and just doesn't know how to talk to people. The sandwiches also didn't have any ketchup or modifications that we put in so what's the purpose of having the customer choose them when their ordering if you're not gonna honor them. Rock hard bagels after a much longer than quoted wait with no real line, maybe 2 people putting in orders after us.... 10 minutes later vs. 2 that were quoted. Someone could break a fkin tooth. Why would you serve ROCK hard bagels to anyone. Just doesn't make sense.

They serve smaller size bagels compared to most bagel shops imo. Also ordered nova lox spread and got regular. Epic fail for Empire Bagels.

Hard skip folks, you've been told! No tip for these guys....

As for cleanliness reviews that say they are bad: definitely sticky floor and sticky tables. Meh, clean the place up and run the operation properly, more efficiently. Friendly staff though I guess.

Updated: I did tell the woman what happened, she apologized and said "sorry, I was busy". That's funny because no one was in line, four other people working and five customers seated. That comment just added fuel to the fire.... Unacceptable... She did offer to comp the 2 rock hard bagels with no nova spread as she...

Ate too fast to get a picture haha. This place is fantastic! Probably the best BEC for the cost in the area. Service is fantastic too. I placed an order online and My order is usually done by the time I come to pick it up and this time it wasn’t Due to the eight young guys crowding the store standing right in front of the door. When the guys cleared I was able to ask for my order by. He showed me that he had about 12 online order receipts and assured that he would make mine right away.. I was in a rush, so I almost asked to cancel the order, but he assured me that he would get it out quick Because he could tell I was in such a rush.. He got my two bagels out to me so quick and I’m so appreciative. Everyone in the store is always really nice and the food...
