Halal Bros Fishkill — Restaurant in Town of Fishkill

Finally the city Halal experience right here in Fishkill!

I have worked in the city over eight years now and since the pandemic I have really missed this type of food. I'm so glad that I got to experience it again so close to home!

Don't let its location inside of the Gulf gas station fool you, as well as the lack of any indoor seating, this is definitely worth a trip and is likely on your way somewhere as it's at the junction of 52 and Route 9.

The chicken over rice was delicious, the rice is a tricolor Biryani and it's full of flavor! I ordered a lamb gyro but I asked them to chop it up including the pita because that's the way I enjoy it in the city as I believe many others do oh, it's also less messy! Just ask for the "Rich" lol just kidding but they said that was the first order like that. I got the white and red sauce as is tradition, but I asked for something spicy and they have a house made orange sauce that I thought was quite delicious!

The prices are super reasonable as you can see on the menu, and at under $10 for most things I'll certainly be coming in for lunch once a week!

As a final note the staff was very friendly and personable, they even brought out some slushy type drinks and mango and blue raspberry sample cups while the meal was being prepared! That being said it's probably better to call ahead so that it's ready when...

[LONG REVIEW] Visited Manhattan a couple of weeks ago and got Halal from a popular chain there (if you know, you know) and it was outstanding. Upon getting home my roommates and I were pretty down that we didn't have a place locally that shared a similar food, but to my surprise when I googled Halal near me I found that this place opened. Then I saw it was in a gas station and at first was deterred, but DO NOT LET IT. They have set up a nice little kitchen in the gas station, you can see them prepare the food! After our workout we swung by the location as it's right down the street from our gym, and excitedly ordered the combination halal which is both chicken and lamb with rice, lettuce, and some mixed veggies. Asked for the white sauce on top and the hot sauce on the side (hot sauce was pretty good too). Let me tell you...it was amazing. The white sauce is nice and sweet, the chicken and lamb is perfectly seasoned, and for a post workout meal it's one of the best. The menu has a handful of items including many gyros we will be trying as well. I hope they see great success because this food is awesome and we will be going back for more...

Staff was super nice! We were hoping when we went in it'd be similar to a hot food bar where certain things were prepped and they just had to build it, but we were mistaken because we did indeed have to wait about 20 minutes for our order. It's not a quick-in, quick-out gas station stop if you're ordering from the halah food. They do give you a fancy beeper thing though to take in your car with you to wait there.

Food was good! We got a chicken gyro, lamb gyro, lamb plate, hummus & pita and falafel. I was a little disappointed that a pita did not come on the side of the lamb over rice plate as this is what I'm used to when ordering it in the city. Meat and flavors overall were delicious, rice was a little dry but the sauces and mixed together masked that.
