I've been here years ago before the Indian people took over and it was way better back then. The rooms are not safe to stay in at all. There is mold growing on the ceilings especially in the bathroom. The ceilings and walls are also damaged and smell like cigarettes in the room even though the sign says no smoking.
The blankets are so cheap and thin and also have cigarette burns holes in them and random stains like eww🤢 The windows are really dusty and have spider webs all over them. This place is just very outdated. Also we saw stink bugs and cricket type bugs in our room. The cleanliness is not good here and the Internet also sucks as well. Every 2 minutes I get disconnected from it and it's just very slow.
The old Indian guy is also kinda rude he needs to fix his attitude and tone. How can you afford a Tesla but can't afford to buy new clean bedding, good decent Internet, and fix the ceiling.
This place is just very unsanitary and a health code violation! You do know mold produce toxic chemicals which can cause allergies and make people's asthma worse! it compromises people immune system and will get them sick and can possibly kill them!! I understand this place is cheap but you have to do better with the safety and cleanliness for people to stay here especially kids.
This place is not worth the price they are charging, but the lady who cleans the rooms seems...
Read moreBut for TripAdvisor reviews, we never would have found or stayed here. And most review comments are spot on. We needed a place to stay for 6 nights while visiting family. Other than sleeping, we were never in our room more than 2 hrs per day. We saved about $60/day over the next lowest price in the area. This is NOT a destination resort. :-)||First, while badly needing renovating/updating, inside and outside, except for the updated small bathroom, the room was very clean and quiet. It was kind of like stepping back in to the 50's or 60's. 2 small table lamps in the room provided the only light and it wasn't much. Nice beds and bedding. We slept well. But . . . .||There is free WiFi that usually worked, a small flat screen for cable TV, an in-room refrigerator and microwave, and a soda machine in front of the office. And that's it. Sometimes, there apparently wasn't even any staff on site, much less an office open 24hrs a day. ||No food, no coffee, no ice machine, no hair dryer, no complimentary shampoo or conditioner, no nothing. Just a very, very reasonably priced room for sleeping and showering. And we would stay again, at the price we paid, without question. There is a sign out front advertising a "week for $399." But you probably have to call the Towne Inn directly. 2 stars, but the very real value kicks it up to 3.5 stars, IMO, 5...
Read moreI booked this place based on availability in the local area and Tripadvisor reviews. Please do not go by any review but this one. This place is disgusting. It seems to be used for long term accommodation. There is nothing positive to say. The sheets were COVERED in hair and had stains all over them. The blankets had cigarette burns in them. The room stank of stale cigarette smoke. The bathroom door looked like it was kicked in, with cracks in it, as well as it hanging off the hinges and not being able to close. The towels smelled of cigarette smoke.||There was nothing at all redeemable about this place. I stopped here whilst visiting local universities, and honestly wish I had just spent the night in my car. For hours afterwards, the thought of this place made my gag reflex kick in. I'm not even complaining about the dust balls hanging off the 1950s picture on the wall, the pilling on the bedspread or the broken and stained lampshades... I just wanted a clean bed and towels, which could not be had here. I even went to reception to get new bedding, which had just as much hair over it. Gross. And expensive as well! ||I felt taken advantage of by booking this place and hope this review will spare someone else the horrible experience I had here. Once...
