Bonsai 3 — Restaurant in Town of Fishkill

Extremely rude experience. We never have any issues with this location for the most part, once they got an order wrong and they actually drove out to our location with a new roll to rectify their mistake.

Tonight, my mother called and ordered a lobster salad avacado roll with no crunchy. I've been getting this roll for as long as this bonsai has been open, they never put crunchy on the inside so I'm not sure if something changed. I'm celiac and can't have the crunchy. I heard my mom tell the waitress no crunchy, and say 'no' when she asked about it inside. Now, since I've injested it already I need to take care of myself to ensure it doesn't really mess me up. If you have any type of autoimmune disease, you know what even a little amount of an allergen can do to you.

When I called to let them know, the waitress started LAUGHING AT ME over the phone. She was incredibly rude and was fighting with us that we didn't ask for that. This is the order we get EVERY time as I'm limited with my meals, so it was honestly their mistake.

After she finished laughing at us and being incredibly rude, she asked us to come pick up the new roll. I told her that's okay, have a good night because we aren't going to deal with a place that is so nasty especially after telling them that there was an allergy.

Be mindful when you go here, especially if you have allergies. Like I said we never have issues and the only other time we have (about 2 years ago) they were really kind. Not sure if this person is new, but the customer service needs...

Food was excellent! Service was wonderful, the food came out quick (5-10 minutes). The waitress/hostess was working super hard to get the to-go orders to everyone waiting and taking calls. Two other workers made sushi. The atmosphere was calm and the walls were sea colored. I liked it very much.

I ordered the bento box that included: miso soup, salad with ginger dressing, cali roll and a teriyaki roll. You can select 2 other options and you there’s plenty to choose from! I chose the salmon teriyaki and the spicy tuna roll. I also ordered gyoza as appetizers and a bubble tea.

Miso soup: super simple and delicious Salad: simple as well and the dressing was light California roll and spicy tuna roll: very good, though not spicy. The tuna roll had a nice crunch which was great. Teriyaki roll: my favorite, super crunchy with salmon (I think) inside and sauce on top! So good! Salmon teriyaki: not over cooked with delightful sauce with some grilled onions, carrots, broccoli and shredded zucchini Gyoza: a bit smaller than what I expected but it satisfied my cravings! Bubble tea: my least favorite, not the best one I’ve had. A bit bland but the pearls were chewy so that’s good.

I've been in the food industry for more than a decade and I have never been more disgusted. The waitress was rude and inconsiderate. This establishment is not kid friendly, they do not offer highchairs or booster seats. Therefore I could not buckle my son in to eat our lunch. He spilled his apple juice and she refused to give us a new one because "she did not spill it". I asked for 3 waters with lemon. I reminded her about the lemon and she brought me back 1 lemon for our 3 waters. I asked for extra napkins as I had used the 3 I was given and the server brought me 2 napkins. When I serve my guests with children I automatically bring extra napkins. To be so cheap and skimpy is absurd. Then when the food came I had to ask for plates to eat our food because we were sharing. Then the server had the audacity to tell me what you do with my son. She wouldn't even let him keep the LAMINATED MENU to pretend order from. I go to japanese restaurants all over dutchess county as my children are part Japanese I have never been treated so rudely before. For the first time in my life I left without...
