The White House Bar — Restaurant in Town of Fishkill

I have been to this bar multiple times. I love the area but unfortunately this bar is not a great part of the town. There have been bar fights almost every time I have been there. I have never known the people in the fights and have always been in the corner just grabbing a drink. Not for nothing I am a respectable registered nurse and my company tends to be first responders, because of my occupation. Since moving to beacon, the bartender there (I don’t know his name but he has longer hair, male) tends to not know how to control bar situations. One time he even tried to blame a fight on me because my “bottle was empty” and can be used as a weapon. FYI my bottle was empty because the female bartender was in the process of getting a new angry orchard that I ordered and I was sitting waiting for the beverage. The fact that this guy even attempted to state that I had “An empty bottle in my hand to use as a weapon” is Ridiculous. Please do not go to this place. Customers are not treated with respect when he is working. There is a female who is very respectful and conversive with staff when she is working, but is rarely working on her own away from this coworker. The environment is toxic and UNSAFE for civilians....

Our food was great. Also it's not the restaurants fault. Our server was so green. She was so out of her depth and young it was comical. I had to go get my own drinks and the bartender was so nice.. I don't want to say anything bad about them as a business.. My daughter was home from college and we were there within 45 minutes of the close time. They were very accommodating nice and polite. But our waitress was so hopeless I actually felt bad for her. I think she thought we were laughing at her. But we were just having a good time. Despite her attitude. I felt so bad for her I gave her a tip bigger than our bill....which she tried to give back as my change.. "Because I mistakenly gave her the exact cost plus" .... Omg we had so much fun. And we'll be back again.. Hope she smiled when she got home to her mom and dad.. All jokes aside it's was great...

A fun bar that is deceptively large in Fishkill. Drinks are very cheap and service was friendly. We went after a wedding in dress attire and didn't feel super out of place, I guess because of the size of our party. We got something like 8 beers for $18. There is a pool table, darts, and ping pong table. I'd stay away from the pool table unless you want the locals to beat you with a cue. We watched several regulars come close to blows by the table. I can understand the negative reviews about the customers though, I think a small group might feel out of place or unwelcome with...
