Latin Mix Deli — Restaurant in Town of Fishkill

This is the first time I have ever ordered from Latin Mix Deli, in Fishkill, New York. The food is ALL GREASE !

There are bones in the tamales. In all my years of eating tamales I have never found a bone. The manager says they always put bones in it. I've never heard of such a thing !

The sweet plantains were dry and hard. They're supposed to be caramelized and sweet. I think they may have used an air fryer. Horrible!

The pupusas are nothing but grease. The only thing you can taste is grease. You can see they are soaked with grease. So very disappointing.

The restaurant hung up on me three times. They insisted that there was nobody there that spoke English that could help me. This was not true because I had called earlier and spoke to someone in English to find out if they would deliver. They said I had to go through GrubHub which I had never used before.

The fourth time I called I spoke to the English speaking person. He gave me the manager's phone number. The manager refused to credit me. I spent over $50. He said I had to go through GrubHub.

That's unfortunate because GrubHub did not make the greasy horrible food.

In the long run GrubHub credited me.

I started to go to this place. So far I love everything I had, specially Atol de elote my favorite 😁. Only thing I would say a little less salt on steaks but other than that is good food. I been going to this place since 2 years ago now and never had a bed experienced till few week ago. I ordered the sopa de res but this time this was too fatty. I understand is boil with some fat for flavor but this time it was a huge piece. When I told the waitress that the entire piece was fat and the lady that was with me would like to get a piece less fatty, she came and responded that all meat comes fatty and that is how is served, and if I don't want fat on my meat to order something different. Excuse me!!! I pay for food not for straight up fat and I dont appreciate the way I was spoken. I have brought so many customers even friends that come from Utah and when the visit this is the place they go. Family and friends that come here all month long for either soup or atol de elote. I am not sure if I will ever get food from this place. Is sad because the owner is very nice but the waitress and customer...

It's just like Miami! Been here twice and everytime doesn't matter what we order, it's good. The chicken especially is cooked extremely well, very juicy. I only know tiny bit of Spanish, but enough to know what the protein is and if it is a soup. So I just blindly pick stuff from blackboard. They do have English printed menu, as well, but it's not as fun lol. Discovery is the fun part of traveling. Also love the juices, Guanabana tastes just like the real fruit I use to get in Florida. Grocery store has great selection even though it small. They had Tajin, I was looking everywhere for that. Also good place for tortillas and and latin cheeses. I'm definitely coming back when it's cold to try...
