I contacted Jeremiah's back in September regarding my bridal shower. I spoke with Tommy, who was the manager at the time. He and I got the date settled along with menu details and cost per tray of food. He told me to contact him about 2 months before my shower so we could run through the specific details. I called back in January (shower in March) and was informed he was no longer with the company. I had to work with Dan, who was less than accommodating. He did not honor any of the pricing I got from Tommy and tried to charge me per person for my bridal shower opposed to per tray of food. Dan explained that they only do per person at this location, although the website specifically says all three locations cost per tray. I had to fight tooth and nail with him for about a week until he finally allowed us to do the cost per tray. On the day of my shower, expecting 60 guests, the private room downstairs was not clean when we arrived to set up. Dan knew, based on our contract, that we would be arriving at 11 am to set up. The staff was still in the process of cleaning the floors when we arrived. Our server, Julia, was supposed to be our dedicated server for the afternoon too because we were told the room included one server. She was anything but professional. She was constantly upstairs waiting on other tables or working behind the bar and it got to the point where we had to clear some of the tables ourselves. Also, she did not allow for enough time for the trays of food to heat up, so all of the food was cold. Julia was missing for the majority of the shower but we still had to pay the 18% gratuity even though my maid of honor was the one making sure people knew when they could go to the buffet line. Do not have a private party here, they are not professional and the restaurant is not clean. In addition, there is no fire escape for the downstairs room nor is there a way for disabled people to get up and down. There's only a set of stairs leading into the private room and the only exit leads to the kitchen on the main floor. Also, the pricing at this location is vastly different than the pricing at the other two locations. Dan tried explaining to me that they cost things higher because they have the private room, but the location in Penfield also has a private room. I called the location on Monroe Ave and Ed, the manager there, told me the pop would have been $5 per pitcher with unlimited refills, no charge for water, and a $10 charge for coffee. A total of $35 with 5 different pop selections. Dan charged us $180 for pop, water, and coffee. Also, the pricing for the food items at this location are vastly different than the other two locations. Based on our findings, I don't think they are a very legitimate establishment, the staff is incredibly unprofessional at the location in Gates, and the restaurant is not clean. Save yourself the frustration and go to one of the other two locations, although I don't think this is a very honest business if they are charging different costs...
Read moreWas very upset with this place. We had a party of 7 after our softball game. We ordered our food. Over an hour later we asked the server how much longer as the kids were getting ancy and now it was almost 10pm. The waiter says oh let me check. Literally comes right back out and says its ready. So how long had it been ready? And if we didnt ask him our food would of sat longer while he cleaned. As food is being served to everyone else at my table, the manager comes to me and tells me they ran out of meat for my roast beef auju sandwich. Now mind you I also ordered chicken wings for us to share along with 2 kids meals. Now please tell me why you did not come tell me before you cooked everyone else's food? Why wait until everyone gets their food to tell me you ran out and I need to pick something else? They apologize and I choose another item. As I sit there and everyone is eating I notice I dont even have my wings to snack on while I await yet again or at least have something while everyone else is eating. I ask the waiter where my wings are and he looks very puzzled and says oh you ordered wings? I didnt know I'm sorry. I mean people forget, but I wouldn't of been so irritated had we not just had a conversation on how he likes the sweet & tangy and why. Obviously he did not remember having that conversation with me. So everyone else is eating but me. Finally my food comes out and it was so fastly cooked it was so hot I couldnt even eat right away and when I could try it the hot sandwich was horrible. The meat tasted old and dry. Now this whole while everyone is awaiting for me to be done eating and it is close to 11pm. They comped my whole bill, and gave a discount to everyone in our party. But overall I was extremely upset that I could not eat with my family, how slow they were and there were not even many patrons. Also the fact that they waited for everyone to be served to finally tell me they didnt have the meat I ordered. As soon as the cook went to cook it they should have checked and found out before cooking the whole order. Very unprofessional. I probably wont be going here again or...
Read moreFirst time there, and likely will be the last. We called ahead of time because we had a large party (14). We were told that there was going to be another, larger (40) there at the same time, but that it shouldnât be a problem, we can have some high tops in the bar area. Our reservation was for 7:30. By 7:45pm most of our party had arrived and we had time to look at the menu and order some drinks. The drinks were great and not that expensive. Our dinner order wasnât taken until after 8pm. We all ordered items that we thought would be quick because we were going to a movie at 9:30. At 8:45pm, we were told that our food hasnât even been started yet because of the group of 40 that got their order in ahead of us. At 9pm, we were all getting a little antsy and decided that we werenât going to have enough time to eat and pay before the movie started. I thought it was made clear to the waitress that we didnât want our food if it hasnât been started yet and to just bring us the bill. She brought us the bill and said since the food had been started we needed to pay for it. This led to a feisty discussion between members of our party, the waitress and bartender. After the threat of police getting called by the staff, we got them to split our bills up, food (that ended up being take out) included. In retrospect, when we were told that there was another large party being seated at the same time we were there, we should have just gone across the street for dinner. However, it also would have been nice for the staff to understand their own limitations and let us know ahead of time that they wouldnât be able to take care of us. As I said at the beginning of this, this was my first time at Jeremiahâs in Gates, after frequenting their Henrietta locations on a few occasions and having much better experiences. This experience has left me with a very bad taste in my mouth that will last...
