Let me tell you about my recent trip to Jersey Mike’s and the gem of an employee named Kyle. First off, Kyle was rocking a bright blue polo that looked like it could single-handedly power a small town with its sheer energy.
As soon as I walked in, there was Kyle, bouncing around like he had just chugged five energy drinks. He greeted me with the enthusiasm of a golden retriever seeing its owner after a long day. “Welcome to Jersey Mike’s! Are you ready for a sandwich experience that’ll change your life?” I mean, who knew ordering a sub could feel like signing up for a new adventure?
Kyle launched into a passionate monologue about the “art of the sub.” “Our bread is baked fresh daily, and let me tell you, it’s like a hug for your taste buds!” He waved around a sandwich knife like it was a magic wand. I half-expected him to pull a rabbit out of the bread oven.
After several minutes of Kyle’s sandwich philosophy, I finally managed to order an Italian sub. But before I could finish, Kyle interrupted with, “Do you want it Mike’s Way?” I said yes, thinking it was some secret menu code. But really, it just means they load your sandwich with so many toppings it looks like a salad on a roll! Kyle acted like I just won the lottery.
While he crafted my masterpiece, Kyle got into a debate with a coworker about which cheese is the ultimate champion. “Provolone is the reliable best friend; Swiss is the wild card!” he exclaimed, arms flailing. Honestly, it was like watching a soap opera about cheese.
Finally, after what felt like a Broadway production, Kyle presented my sub with the flair of a game show host. “And here it is! The Italian sub, Mike’s Way! May it bring you joy, satisfaction, and possibly a small parade!”
I took a bite, and let me tell you, it was fantastic. But the real highlight was Kyle. I walked out feeling like I had just been through a motivational seminar disguised as a sandwich shop.
So if you find yourself at Jersey Mike’s, look for the guy in the blue polo who acts like he just discovered the meaning of life in a sub. You won’t just get a sandwich; you’ll get a full-on experience. Kyle deserves an award, or at the very...
Read moreI stopped into Jersey Mike’s on a Friday evening and couldn’t believe my eyes. This place isn’t going to be opened too long operating under the conditions that they are and it starts with the employees they have working there. When I first entered the eatery the floor in the area in which the employees prepare subs was an absolute mess. Garbage plus food crumbs were all throughout the area. Rap music was blaring throughout the place, a female employee was having a discussion with another lady who was not a customer, but just hanging out and talking about outside drama that should’ve never been happening. The female employee talked about being thirteen weeks pregnant and didn’t need anymore stress on her. Another young employee was wearing a company shirt that looked like it hadn’t been washed in a week. His hair was as dirty and greasy looking as the shirt he was wearing plus, he reeked of cigarette smell so bad it was disgusting. Now, I do give the young man credit for working, but it’s very important for the individual to know when working in the food industry the importance of good hygiene. Having poor hygiene and wearing dirty clothes is enough to turn any customer away. There needs to be a manger with a backbone working in there with these young employees, so the place is better managed. The lettuce in the bin was old and brown color and should’ve been thrown out. The counter top in which the employees were making subs was a disgusting mess and dirty. The counter area alone needed a good cleaning and disinfecting. The tables and floors needed to be cleaned, swept and mopped. If the owner of this place reads this review then he or she needs to get serious about their business and make sure it’s being operated properly and under better conditions or they’ll be closing shop. As we all know reviews are very important for a business. So, hopefully there will be changes made and it needs to start...
Read moreI am a teacher within the Gates Chili Community. I received a discount deal through our front office that was valid to the end of the year 12/31/2025. The deal was buy a regular sandwich get a regular sandwich for free. On the back of the card it said “valid at this location for one customer PER visit, PER day”. I went in and ordered and used this deal and the Manager of the store took the card and ripped it up in my face. I asked him why he did that and he said bc it’s valid for one use. I asked him to read the card he did out loud and said exactly what is said above and still threw the card away. If you are going to give a deal to teachers, go through with your deal and don't be rude. I hope this message is viewed by the right people. Absolutely ridiculous to hand out a deal to teachers that is good till the end of the year, and can be used everyday as it says on the back of their own card, just for the MANAGER to rip it up in your face. This store should never...
