Olympia — Restaurant in Town of Gates

The waitress is rude , act as though we were a bother. Food cold when we received it. Was not offered refill on coffee waitress brought us our food never came back to be attentive to her customers . No smile ever , rude is unexceptable behavior for someone serving the public cost her a great tip. BIG MISTAKE LADY! My hubby's a great tipper but with your attitude if you don't like your job you should quit. And allow them to bring servers who love to smile and greet their customers with a cheerful attitude. My husband with attempt you too but I stopped that real quick. She didn't need a tip she needed etiquette classes and a permanent smile . If you don't like serving the public stay home. Trust me you won't be missed not one bit. Smh

We will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever go back there nor will we ever recommend this establishment to anyone rumor has it the type of chain restaurants were awesome back in the day and served amazing food maybe they did back in the day but not anymore. And their service really sucks. You're trying to have a meal in a nice comfortable place and all you can hear is the employees talking over themselves . Your restaurant clientele do not want to hear about your issues Oregon gossiping about your other employees. So disappointed 🤦🤷 what a shame...

We visited 1/7/22. Online says they close at 11pm. We arrived at 8pm. We were seated, and the waitress was very pleasant and friendly. While she was serving our drink there was an older gentleman who was working (bussing tables etc) he started yelling and complaining to our waitress very loudly that she’s “still seating tables when he was told he can leave at 9 sharp, he doesn’t get paid enough and makes not $10 an hour” and went on and on about it. We felt very targeted and weren’t comfortable. I felt as if I had to choose something quick to cook on the menu because if it was close to closing, I wouldn’t have to wanted to even be seated and make someone night miserable. My husband assured me if it was close to closing then they would have just told us they weren’t seating any other people especially seeing as online says 11pm. Food came out soggy and cold anyways. But we paid and left. I just would hope that management address the rude behavior of the gentleman who so loudly expressed his hatred towards his job. The waitress was lovely and she just brushed it off like his behavior...

Babeen has it right. Way overpriced and the portions arent that big...but thats not the worse part. I am sorry to say that the quality of the food isnt that good. Got the Clam Chowder and it was litterally the fishiest Chowder i have ever had. Also it was gritty(or sandy?) I also tried the rice "pudding" if you can call it that. I think a more appropriate name for it should be called "sweet rice". Clearly made with Uncle Bens Instant rice.

The Prime Rib sandwich was OK and because of that i will give this restaurant 2 stars..Very big portion which was nice..but very dry. Almost like yesterdays or the day before yesterday Prime Rib. At "just roasted it today" Prices. And the Au jus tasted fake. Like it came from a Can/Jar.
