I'm honestly so confused about the fact that this place has so many great reviews after our experience tonight. When we came in, we waited at the host stand for at least five minutes without being greeted. Finally someone comes over and asks if we "signed in"... apparently the expectation was that we write our name and party size on a notepad and wait to be called. As we sat waiting, I explained this expectation to several other customers who were waiting by the host stand, as confused as I had been. Once we were seated, it took more than five minutes for our drink order to be taken. By the time he brought our drinks we had been given plenty of time to decide on what to order, but the server set the drinks down and walked away--without a word--before we had time to say anything about ordering. It was bizarre to me that when the server came back to take our order, he once again didn't say a word, just looked at us with his notepad out. I watched the server have a conversation with another family, so I'm not sure why he didn't speak to us nearly at all throughout the meal. Not once did he check on us while we were eating. I watched two other tables be seated after us, and finish their meal and leave while we still waited for food to come out/the check to come. This was such a waste of time as it took SO much longer than it should've for two people to have dinner. Really disappointed to leave this review, but I just feel like the abundance of rave reviews is so misleading... Oh, also, the music is...

Overall, this was a pretty decent experience. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked through the door. We were given complimentary chips and salsa as an appetizer and drinks were brought out fast. I Chose to go with four stars because when I asked to take my drink to go, that costed me $18, they only gave me a quarter of what I paid for in a small to go cup. The cup that came in was enormous. I was not aware a large was that big. I should have been leaving with at least 4 to go cups with the amount that was left. And when I asked to take the chips home they never brought me a to go container for them.

Food was brought up pretty fast after we placed our order. The food was decent but slightly overpriced. I paid $70 for two people, which included two meals, 1 soda, and one extra large drink. The $18 for the extra large drink was definitely worth the price. Again, this cup was huge and beautifully decorated. However, the food, was average and kind of simple. While it was decent, I just don't feel that it justified $25 for a side of rice and refried beans, 2 tortillas, lettuce , and meat.

Customer service was good and everybody that we dealt with was extremely friendly. I will definitely return because it was a decent experience with a comfortable atmosphere, and definitely for the drinks. Unfortunately, I was highly disappointed that they didn't give me what I paid for when I left and forgot...

Seriously they got take out wrong again! Do I need to say I'm allergic to get their attention? (There's a NY food service training course for Allergens every food server should be taking!) I normally love this place. But I placed a take out order and totally got it wrong. I pointedly requested my order to be "#7, NO MEAT: cheese chili rellenos, cheese enchiladas (extra sauce please), beans & rice, right?" He looked it up, read it back to me and confirmed NO MEAT; I said I get really sick with meat. No problem. It took longer than normal, again no problem, as they are busy & I love this food. The lady in front of me with a really large order asked for her receipt, he asked why, she replied that they got her last order wrong and that's how she checks now - they sat at the bar and reviewed her pick-up order for 5 minutes. I thought it a fluke...then.... I was at home eating. They AGAIN did not provide the extra sauce (they never do the extra items like sauce, cilantro, etc.). The poblano looked really flat but buried in cheese I began eating. I discovered I was given chicken & beef tamales :( Because I transferred my dinner to a plate & added Taco Bell sauce, I was unable to determine what was contaminated with meat. My husband got 2 dinners last night. I was livid...I don't know that I can trust them anymore and I'm so tired of being sick from...
