I’m new to the area. The first time my wife and I went there the prime rib was delicious. Tonight unfortunately I had a bad experience. I ordered another prime rib and asked for it to be rare but slightly medium cooked like the last time I ordered it. When our food was served, I thought the prime rib looked a little different. Not only was it over cooked and more well done than I asked they serve me a steak instead which honestly, I could have cooked better at home.. I mentioned to the waitress that this isn’t a prime rib cut and that it was clearly a regular steak. She told me I must have ordered something different the last time I was there. I’m pretty sure I know the difference between a steak and a prime rib roast cut especially when it comes to taste/texture considering I used to be a meat cutter.. I didn’t cause a scene because I’m not one of those people but they definitely lost our business. Next time I want a good prime rib I will be going to the red ox instead. P.s if a glass is empty and our meal isn’t complete could the waitresses have the common courtesy to ask if we’d like a refill to help finish our meal..

The burger was good but the bun was dry and sharpe crust on top. I took 3 bites and my lips felt like I was eating hard sharp sandpaper. I waited without eating 10 minutes before the waitress to check when she did she said I was on the phone. I was Less then 1min but when the food arrived I got off the phone and started eating. I complained and she said that she would get me another bun. I said no I was done. I thought she was going to get the manager but instead she brought me a bill with 25% off. I said no I wasn’t happy at all with the food. I asked to speak with the manager and it was her. Then she said because I took some bites out of the food and said that I ate halve she was going to take 50% off. So I left very unhappy with my experience their. I don’t know if the other locations have this problem. April 19th, 2024. Now!!! because they served me bad food… In their response… They banned me from their restaurant because I gave them a bad review… Don’t go to Cinders. The company does not honor their products… and they think you should pay for BAD "Quality" food.

I am normally never disappointed with Cinders. Been going for most of my life. However I ordered delivery from them today and was very sadly disappointed. The criss-cut fries were described as coming with sour cream, which they did not and the fries were very over cooked. The steak sandwich was decent but felt lacking, lettuce or tomato, didn’t think I’d have to specify that I would like them since they come along with it when dinning in. Yes I’ll give them another chance but just sad with today’s meal.

If I could give them nothing I would. Went in on a Sunday at 2 during a packer game with my best friend and 3 boys. We weren't ready to order right away so the server stepped off, we figured out what we wanted and she still hasn't come back so I told my friend to take my boys outside while I ordered, which he did. We were the only ones in the restaurant at that point besides 2 cooks and her. 7 minutes later I saw the cook staring at me so I tried to wave at him and say I'm ready but he was just staring so hard that I continued to wait to see her, she walked back in with the other cook and was laughing joking around avoiding eye contact and my saying I'm ready. Finally as my friend and boys were walking back to the table she comes over after finally seeing me guesturing. I ordered a bowl of chicken dumpling soup. When it came out I said gross, before even digging in it had so much dried parsley on it I thought nope but continued it had some tiny pieces of chicken maybe 4 then a thin long piece and legit only 2 dumplings, and extreme amount of onions and celery, I waved her over and it was like she knew "not enough dumplings" I said yes and she left my soup and went to dig out more dumplings 4 minutes later she comes back with a half filled cup of dumplings. I should've known better the broth was almost grey looking. A min after she brought our meals. My friend and I looked at each other and knew that didn't take long enough. We were starving though so tried it. My 8 year olds big boy cheeseburger was supposed to be m/w it was m/r, my steak sandwich which is the main point of going was well the bun was not toasted on any of the sandwiches, but the meat of the steak sandwich tasted old besides being so dry even with the butter they slapped on, my 10 bacon cheeseburger m supposed to be m/w. Good things were the crisscuts and the buffalo ranch wrap. They also charged $1.50 for 2 tiny cups of ranch which we got a wrap why did we have to pay that, the fries were ok but you could tell the oil in the fryer hasn't been changed in a loooong time. Last but most important why I should've known it was going to be bad was the smell when you enter smells like rotten fish and dirty grease. Working in the food industry for over 20 years shame on me for not paying attention to the signs and shame on the owners for the state of this establishment. bill for 4 meals and soup over 8 no drinks. Sad because the location in Oshkosh cares...

This is the location on Wisconsin Ave. In Appleton, WI. This restaurant tends to be our go to Friday night fish fry spot. We have never really had a bad wait staff. They are always prepared for the friday crowd. But my favorite waitress is Heidi, she always has a smile and something positive to say. I think they have recently changed their burger supplier. My mother-in-law use to get the steak sandwich at least once a month and around the beginning if the summer the burger got bigger and she said it tasted different and hasnt ordered since. All burgers and sandwiches come with pickles and raw onions. I normally ask for then on the side and unlimited french fries. They will happily bring a basket of fries to the table ( I normally ask when the waitress stops by to check on the table after the first few bites.) instead of little plates for individuals, which really helps when you have teenagers who eat super fast then swear they arent hungry anymore but their fingers magically find their way to the fries while they are looking on their phones being "so bored". Then at the end of the meal there are little dum dum lollipops for free up at the register. Even the teens get a smile of their face when it's time to get a lollipop. There are two other locations. One on the other side of Appleton off of hwy 441 and college ave. And has the same menu. Then there is the third location in Oshkosh. They have more BBQ items and their French fries are seasoned and delicious. And the waffle fries there come with a sour cream with what I can sort of figure out is season salt mixed it. It really makes a difference. I havent been able to recreate it at home.

Mobility tips: The handicap parking is to the right when you drive into the parking lot past the outdoor seating. But most of the parking isnt too far from the door. There are two elevated sections so if you can not do any kind of steps let the hostess know on the busy nights. The ground level has booths or long 8 topper tables. One elevated section has only booths and the other one has booths, two topper tables and 6 topper round tables. Both sections have two steps up and have sturdy hand rails...

Took my young granddaughter out for lunch today as she loves steak, so thought why not a steak sandwich. Our experience was not fun or special. My husband and I have had a tenderloin sandwich from the East location and were very pleased, so assuming that this would be like the picture, quite large like and our past ones, we opted to share just one. The sandwich was small, and nothing came with it. You would have thought the waitress might have asked what we'd like in it. Our waitress was less than pleasant. I get it, that they are all busy these days with probably working short staff but to hardly take a moment and when we requested a second one as the first sandwich came rather small, it seemed like an imposition. Then we were charged the same price as the first one but had been only brought the sandwich without the fries. Even my granddaughter said let's not say anything as "she's kind of crabby Grandma". Waitress didn't check on us, we had to practically flag her down just to get a refill and then a box to leave and pay. Needless to say what should have been a nice pleasant lunch was not. Not sure if we will...
