Amazing Indian grocery store! I recently found this hidden little gem after a friend of mine told me about it. My first visit was a fabulous experience! So much so, I went back the very next day with my daughter and we walked out with two more bags of groceries :-) The owner very kind and welcoming! He's very helpful, extremely knowledgeable on herbs spices and food pairing, he also helped me choose all of the spices necessary for chai tea and a few other herbal teas I wanted to make at home. This little market has a fabulous selection Indian prepared food and raw ingredients. The spices and herbs selection is absolutely amazing! And the prices on just about everything especially the herbs and seasonings are fraction of what you would pay at Pick n Save or Festival! I can't say enough about this hidden little gem. Even if you don't prepare Indian food on a regular basis, it's a must visit for spices and so many other fabulous foods you won't find in the local big...
Read more⚠️ Expired Product & Unacceptable Customer Service – Golden Green Indian Store, Appleton
Today, We purchased Swad Jira Khakra from Golden Green Indian Store in Appleton, only to find it was expired in May 2025.
When we informed the owner, his response was both irresponsible and shocking. He said it was the customer’s mistake and that they don’t care if items are expired or not. He agreed to take back only the unopened packs, but refused to address the fact that an opened pack was expired — as if that somehow made it acceptable to sell.
Selling expired food is not just unethical — it’s a serious food safety issue, especially here in the USA, where consumers expect stores to follow safety regulations and treat customers respectfully.
This was a pathetic and irresponsible experience, and I’m sharing it so the community is aware and can exercise caution when shopping...
Read moreBest Indian grocery store in the fox cities!! Always well stocked, and they have pretty much everything you could ever want. Even things that are a little more "obscure", or harder to find around these parts. The man (bhaiya) who runs the store is SO nice and helpful, and he has a remarkable memory. Last time I was there, I had a huge list from my husband and I was all alone & struggling to find things. The owner went above and beyond to help me find every single item on my list! He even offered me chai afterwards. Very outstanding service and a prime example of Indian hospitality. :-)
My in-laws are from India originally, and we all love coming here whenever we're in town....
