I came on a Saturday for the Prime Rib Special. Unfortunately I never had a chance to order it. Im sure everyone is real nice there, but I couldn't even catch a look from the bartender. I decided to leave out of hunger and frustration. On the way out I ran into who I thought was a server and mentioned how I was having trouble ordering anything at the bar. He immediately became defensive and called me a jerk because they were overworked because a bartender didn't show. (Am I supposed to know that? Should all the patrons know that and therefore expect poor service too? Maybe you should post a sign when someone doesn't show so we all know there will be slow service, and also to not mention anything about it or you will be called a jerk and sent down the road) He then goes on to explain how he works everyday 7 days a week, (like I care thats your life you chose) but then he goes even further and tells me if I don't like it I can go to another bar down the street. Its basically a one sided conversation at this point. I had to ask who this person was for my review. Turns out this person is the owner Greg. Now I see how the poor service stems from poor leadership. No wonder employees aren't showing for work if you have to work...
Read moreI would give a better review however Jacob T was very rude and impatient. Horrible customer service. TO GO ORDER and Jacob T stated very rudely, “thank you for the tip” because no tip was put on the credit card receipt. Cash was meant to give as tip and it was given after he even stated this. (I would NOT have given him that tip). Stated in 3 years working there he never seen a 10% discount per email. We have the email 10% discount and being rude to a 75 year old woman is nasty. He made her very uncomfortable so she got frustrated that she couldn’t find it right away and just paid for the meals. He charged for the ranch but never received it. Should take the time to look before charging. After getting a call he stated he gave a free ice tea to compensate but with a horrible attitude that’s hard to compensate for. Change the attitude Jacob T! Be Kind and kindness will be returned. If you having a bad day, sorry but don’t take it out on the guests. Food has always been amazing here. Missing things happen but take accountability and don’t charge. Be kind to elderly as they get frustrated and nervous easy. Take a CS class. The photo is attached of the discount that you have never seen in 3...
Read moreMy first visit at the end of October, we had wonderful, friendly and attentive service for a large group about 16. The food is excellent! We also had a cake and they brought plates and extra forks without asking and managed to keep all of our bills straight!
The second time I went, the service was not as friendly, we wanted to order food when we got our first round of drinks from the bar and the bartender said that the server would be starting her shift soon. About a half hour later we went up to the bar again to ask if we could order food and she said the waitress was there now and she would tell her to come to our table. The waitress came out and served a table of 10 people who appeared to be regulars before serving our table of 5. Another 20 min including many attempts to catch her eyeline and I finally saw the bartender point her to our table again. At this point some of us ordered our food to go and the waitress was not very friendly.
I still highly recommend the Northland and assume our second visit was a fluke. The food both...
