Fox River Brewery and Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Grand Chute

UPDATE: Well on my 7th visit. I’ll just summarize everything before I explain: the food here is amazing…And the services is dramatically fluctuates. And when I say service, I mean either the waitress is an outright mean person, unhappy, or “ghostlike”… Or I get the best waitress ever it’s not much in the middle.

Visit #1, WAITRESS #1: The waitress was not good at all. Service matters, and she failed. Overall impersonal and didn’t know price of drinks (that weren’t posted on menu either). Generally she seemed unhappy to be serving us and it made us feel uncomfortable.

Visit #2, WAITRESS #2: Now this gets weird. Asked about for a taster tray & she handed me beer menu. Ordered food & ate it, waiting for her to take beer taster tray order. Came back, and forgot I wanted taster tray. Well…she FINALLY took that order after 20min. But guess what?!? She never brought it….until she did 45min after I originally sat down. This situation is completely baffling, since it was 7:00pm on a Thursday with 4 other clients in the area I was sitting. It was very slow. beyond that beer and food is amazing!

Visit#3 Waitress is lost in her own world. Basically just grunts. It’s quite confusing how some of the people who work here are so happy and OnPoint… And Some are in the wrong industry of being a waitress…, they simply have no conception of their job and what it means to customers.

Had to lower it to 2 stars cause of how waitress(s)making us feel uncomfortable for basic questions…and 2nd waitress dripped ball beyond imagination.

So sad service is sliding downward every visit

Simply amazing beer!! Probably the best I have had in all of Wisconsin. I really enjoyed the outdoor seating and the cheese curds were great. Getting the taster tray is the way to go. All of there beers should win awards in the...

My fiance and I decided to shop at the Appleton mall today and do some shopping. For dinner we decided to stop in at the brewery. Our experience wasn't the greatest. We sat down and looked over the menu. We place our order and notice the table right across from us wasn't cleared yet. Our server was the same server they had. The restaurant wasn't busy so we figured that our food would be hot and fast. That wasn't the case at all. We got our chicken quesadillas and they were alright. The pico that was on top tasted a bit weird to us. We waited a long time for our food. Finally we saw it on the counter just sitting there while our server was waiting on the drinks for the table behind us, who's order she may or may not have messed up. While we were waiting for our food we waited to see if our server was ever going to clear that table across from us. Nope didn't touch it at all. Then we watched what looked to be a manager seat people on the other side of this table,cleared two cups from the table that should have been cleared by now. Finally we see our food under the lamps, but they aren't ready yet because the fried food wasn't done. I ordered the pub burger and my fiance ordered chicken and waffles. The waffles were ice cold. As my fiance is trying to wave down our server she looks the other way. Finally we get her attention and the problem gets fixed. Once she dropped our bill she cleared the table, just so she could check her tip we gave her.

Once we left I checked the reviews and saw about 9 months ago someone had problems with the same server. Happy we paid cash. Will not...

Fox River Brewing Company is a huge, self contained, restaurant which is adjacent to the Fox River Mall food court. It has a bar in one corner and an open kitchen in the other. In between, is a wide open dining area with many regular tables. The menu has a wide variety of choices, so I wondered about execution. Thus, I was pleasantly surprised by our piping hot dishes and their excellent textures. The flavors were spot on as well. I had chicken and waffles, and my cousin had fish and chips. We loved them both. The fish consisted of big, flaky, dark beer battered, cod fillets which held together nicely without being greasy. So, the fish and chips descriptor is accurate. The chicken was crispy and the breading was well seasoned. Either dish is a great choice. The staff was friendly and responsive. They brew their own beers and have a nice cocktail menu as well. I'm not much of a shopper, but this place might turn me into a mall rat. You know how you catch a rat, right? You put out good cheese! Of course, the curds there were good too. Nibble,...
