Sunny Hibachi — Restaurant in Town of Greece

I’ve seen the signs for this place hundreds of times but for some reason have never thought to try it. Well boy I’ve been missing out! Was riding my bike past tonight and glanced into the restaurant, and something about the place seemed inviting. I thought to myself, maybe I’ll go in and glance at the menu, and as I walked towards the door I saw they had menus right outside! After glancing over the menu and seeing the affordable prices and all the choices they had to offer, I thought it might be too good to be true. I decided to give it a shot though. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the friendliest woman and immediately felt comfortable. She was quick to answer the questions I had, and even read my mind and mentioned that I could substitute fried rice with noodles! So I placed my order and she informed me it would only be 5-10 minutes before it was ready! I sat down for a minute then decided to step outside for a cigarette. Before I was even done smoking, here comes the same friendly woman bringing my food outside to me! She asked me how many forks I needed, and even explained what the extra sauce in the bag was! At this point I thought it was definetly too good to be true. No way would this be authentic hibachi. But as soon as I got home and opened my food container my mouth started watering. The food was absolutely perfect and delicious! I couldn’t have been more satisfied! The steak was tender. The shrimp and scallops were cooked just right, and the noodles and vegetables were perfect as well. On a scale of 1-10, I’d rate my experience a 100! From the service, to the quality of the food. I can’t believe I never stopped here before! This will honestly probably be the only place I go to for take out for...

First, this is not a hinachi restaurant, its glorified chinese takeout. I called in an order ahead of time. They said 20 minutes. Arrived there at exactly 20 minutes after. They said it will be up shortly. 40 minutes later we got our food. After we got back (3 minute drive) the food was cold. How is that possible? So anyway, lets get to the taste. It was mediocre at best. Their gyoza was "frozen packaged" quality, their hibachi sauce is sub par, and their fried rice isnt fried. We ordered steak and shrimp, and scallop hibachi. Every meat tasted the same. There was also roughly 10 small pieces of meat for each meal. Disappointing experience overall. I highly recomended...

Honestly, we just wanted sushi on a Friday night. We didn't have much of expectations as it was a tiny looking place in the middle of a plaza. Given that, we were blown away! I have eaten sushi all over rochester, but it's crazy that the best sushi we've had was here. Great staff, even brought our food to the car once it was done (I thought they would just call, so very unexpected). I'll probably be ordering here every weekend if not twice a week. Also, their prices are really affordable...
