Waited over an HOUR at this Taco Bell location. I arrived around 10:00PM and didn't leave the parking lot until 11:15PM. I placed an order via Mobile App and tried canceling it when I was in the back of the line since I noticed the line was not moving so I went to cancel it and the screen changed to “order being made”. I decided to wait it out since I didn’t want to lose money being I was no longer able to cancel it. I sat in line for an hour and finally reached the speaker. I sat at the speaker for another 4-5 minutes with no greeting. Mind you, no one was in front of me nor at the window. Most likely they were trying to catch up on window time as a lot of places like to use this tactic of making you wait at the speaker. A guy finally spoke and I drove through. I was met at the window with not only my order NOT being done (what happened to making my order an hour ago?), but they were out of certain ingredients. I had to change my order and continued to wait. After my bags were handed to me, I asked if I could get some free taco coupons since I waited so long. The employee told me that they don’t give out those just because you had a long wait. I told him that I’ve received them before for the same reason and for WAY less time waited and he said that was under old management. So basically, the management doesn’t think your time is worth a free taco. I didn’t receive any sort of compensation or at least an apology. Nothing. Meanwhile, I watched the employees mosey around and chat and sip Monster with no sense of urgency. I left and the line was still to the road. You can’t leave the line if you wanted to, as well. You are trapped by a guard rail and a high curb. If you have an emergency, you better hope it can wait an hour.
I’ve worked in similar jobs and I know it can very stressful so that is why I try not be critical of fast food work as they are mostly underpaid and over worked but this experience was ridiculous. Zero work ethic or empathy. The management clearly doesn’t care or this wouldn’t happen. If you can’t handle a line or your stuff is too slow, close the store. Don’t waste people’s time and money with slow service and bad customer service. I hope a higher up sees this review (beyond the store manager) and takes initiation. This place is actively making the entire company...
Read moreOriginally, we went to W. Ridge Rd to order our dinner. They said they were unable to take our order due to their system being down. So, we went to Dewey Ave Taco bell to order. When my boyfriend went to order his meal the response from the lady taking the order was rude. " That is discontinued!" I said to my boyfriend, woah. Shes a bit rude. He agreed. After he put his order in I then went to place my order. I just wanted a freeze with the white cream in it. She said dramatically, whhhaaaattttttt. I said usually I order a freeze and have them include this cream I have never been told the name of it. She said I don't know what you're talking about. With the energy she was displaying it made me not want to order my meal. So, I didn't. When I arrived at the window I respectfully tried to educate her on what I usually get. She went and grabbed the bottles and said we only have these two. I never worked for TB so I have no idea what she was showing me. She then claimed I said one thing when I know I said the correct thing. She is rude and unprofessional. She claimed to have been an employee to the company for a long time. Unfortunate, how many people she may have encountered that didn't order their food due to her poor customer service skills. She didn't even try to up sell. Pure lazy!
I would not recommend this place if she were working the window.
I called the office and to be honest. I am not satisfied. The lady I spoke to was king however, I think some form of action must be taken place to prevent these situations from happening. teach this young lady a lesson. TB does not need people like her. SO many people willing to...
Read moreUpdate as of 2024:
Well it’s been two years since I left my initial review and there have been 0 improvements. In fact it’s gotten worse. I guess it’s my own fault for continuing to go to this location. What’s funny is that when you go back to tell them they forgot something in your order, they already know to expect you like they do this all the time. I don’t want to demean anyone working here because I’m sure this job is not anyone’s dream job but how hard can it be? It has to be intentional. And for the higher ups who check these reviews asking to fix it, why don’t you take your * into the store and handle it in person. That’s how you will make it up to me and every person that left a similar review. The fact that this has been going on for 2 years still should be embarrassing. As I left the parking lot I saw a truck pull off to the side after they came from the drive thru and we all know too well what they were doing. It’s comical at this point.
End Update
Every time I go they forget something in my order. Even the smallest thing like 1 Cinnabon in a 12 pack which wouldn’t be that big a deal if they got every other order before right. Seems like it’s a game between the employees to see if they can leave out at least one item per order. I don’t know if I did something to offend this Taco Bell for them to consistently mess up my order or if that’s just how it’s going to be from now on. Any time I’ve contacted a manager about this it goes no where. No one cares. Either this location needs to close or they need to re train all their employees or just...
