My husband paid for a pizza through Too Good to Go yesterday. The order details said to pick it up between 7-8pm tonight. My husband arrived around 7:30. The kid working said they were out of pizza and the ovens were off. They don’t close until 8:00. My husband told the kid that the pizza was already paid for and he had already driven 20 minutes to pick up the pizza. He asked the worker to make a pizza for him. The worker refused to turn the oven back on to make a pizza and refused to refund my husband’s money when my husband asked about a refund. He told my husband that he needed to leave. My husband asked to talk to the owner. The worker refused to call the owner. While my husband was leaving, the owner’s brother walked in and said someone would call my husband tomorrow. Given how Pizza Stop did not follow through with the pizza order that was already paid for, I doubt they will follow through with calling him back. At this point, Pizza Stop has stolen my husband’s money. Not only did we pay for a pizza that Pizza Stop refused to give us, but we also are out the gas and time for 40 minutes of driving round trip.
Update: My husband just got an email from Too Good to Go that Pizza Stop said they needed to cancel his order. This was at 8:30pm. Pizza Stop closed at 8:00. My husband showed up at Pizza Stop at 7:30. Pizza Stop contacting the third party app to contact the my husband with a note saying the order is cancelled an hour after the incident took place seems really sloppy and unprofessional on Pizza Stop’s part. It seems like they’re trying to make it seem like the order was cancelled in advance of my husband showing up to pick it up as some inappropriate way to do damage control. It’s less about the small amount of money spent and more about the fact that my husband did 40 minutes of round trip driving without getting the pizza simply because some kid was trying to...
Read moreI ordered two pizzas today over the phone for my mom to pick up: the phone call ended abruptly after the gentleman read the order total, leaving me to end the call after 30 seconds of asking if he was still there. 20 minutes later, my mom calls me from the store saying they have no order for us. I call the store again to place the order again, a woman took my order who had no clue of our original order, and she happily took it again. My mom calls me right after to tell me the manager spoke to her and explained their phones act up sometimes, and that the original gentleman said the phone call with me ended abruptly so he never put the order in, and the manager said that he would have our order ready in 10 minutes with a 10% discount for our troubles, which was great. My mom comes home with the pizza saying she got zero discount (told me she paid the order total I was read over the phone twice), and the pepperoni pizza we got was very burnt on the bottom.
I’ve had The Pizza Stop before (the downtown location), and its reputation preceded it, it was very good. This time was disappointing from ordering to eating, and I just know this business is better than that and would like for this to be a teaching point for them. Disappointing experience but they’re very...
Read moreToday I ordered two pizzas. I ordered one with cup and char pepperoni on it. When the gentlemen read the order back to me, he repeated cup and char pepperoni. I am positive of that because I paid careful attention because that is what I specifically wanted. Upon picking up the pizza, it had regular pepperoni on it. When my husband tried to tell them, they gave him a hard time and said "this is why we read orders back to you, you should've corrected us then." The only two options for a fix were that they could pick off the incorrect pepperoni and place the correct kind on it, or they could make it again and we would have to pay. That is not what I call excellent customer service. As much as I liked your pizza, I will not be back. Very...
