Absolutely love this place and it has become one of my favorite and my goto place for sure. My wife introduced me to this place even though it was just a stone throw away from my office in Elmsford and I never knew about it. She and her corporate colleagues always orders food from there but it was a first time for me. From the first day, I was hooked. This is a DELI. But it might as well be a full fledged restaurant. The owner, Robert and Tony is so gracious and generous and took personal care of us and even threw in some minor side pastories or goodies on the house whenever we went there to make our experience a memorable one. (Perhaps I went there 6 times in the last one week since I discovered this little gem along with my colleagues and wife, šš). I absolutely love the outside ambiance with beautiful shades, canopies and parking because we literally pulled up and sat and worked under the canopy. There was quite a bit of regulars every day usually business men and local workers for lunch and breakfast. So this is already seem to be a hot spot. Hopefully it would still have the same service as it has now when more and more people find out about this place. I will be a regular here as long as we get these same delicious food and service we have been experiencing. Highly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe stopped to have lunch at Carmines on our way home from Atlantic City and what a great choice! It was easy to find, not too far off of the highway, and plenty of free parking. The owner greeted us personally and our waitress was amazing. The food, absolutely what youād expect from an authentic Italian NY deli. Fresh quality meats, extensive menu, and ingredients that I havenāt had in my cooked meals since my grandmother cooked for me - she was from Italy! So delicious and there was a steady flow of regular customers coming in for takeout while we were there. We also had the pleasure of listening to live jazz music throughout our meal. The owner surprised us with two plates of assorted pastries on the house. He was touched that we were a party of six, all extended family and traveling together, and seemingly enjoying it. The owner got up and sang along with the musician on stage and he was really good! So glad we picked Carmines for our lunch stop, what a great place where we shared more memorable moments and enjoyed some of the most authentic Italian food weāve had in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFor lunch, I decided to indulge in an Italian Combo today. Being a fan of robust flavors, I prefer my Italian heroes to have a spicy kick. Therefore, I kindly requested if I could swap the sweet peppers for cherry peppers. The staff member assured me that it was no trouble at all.
However, when my wife picked up the sandwich, my enthusiasm waned upon discovering that the meat portion on my hero seemed somewhat lacking. To make matters worse, instead of the anticipated burst of heat from cherry peppers, it appeared that they had run out and, in a peculiar substitution, opted for pickled jalapeƱos on the other side of the sandwich. I must say, pickled jalapeƱos have no place on an authentic Italian sub.
To add a dash of disappointment, I noticed an additional charge labeled as 'hot peppers' on the bill. At a hefty $18, this sad sandwich seemed overpriced, leaving me with the distinct feeling that it did not quite measure up to the anticipated value.
If you're looking for a deli...
