Update 7 Oct 2023. I’m local now and happy to elaborate on my review with company management.
First visit in over a year. Not much has changed. Cars outside shop parked or idling with engines on awaiting overpriced drinks. This location still has the monopoly in coffee shops for over a mile in any direction. But it’s raining heavily and it’s nice to have a roof even got a few minutes. Toilets are in good repair but need more regular cleaning - dirty bowl and no soap on dispenser. Considering the inflated price of my flat white at $5.02, I’m staying with my original rating.
So much has changed since Starbucks’ Seattle-based coffee shops stage in the 1980s. I had the privilege to visit the main Seattle location in 1989. I remember well the welcoming spirit, engaged (With customers) staff and the very high quality of the core product (coffee beans). Fast forward to 2022 - the logo is all that remains. In this soulless box adjacent to a parking garage, the majority of morning customers appear to be collecting internet orders. Staff are performing mainly order fulfilment. If the could be replaced by robotics that would be an innovative feature for this location. Even the customers are for the most part soulless - as I was entering a male customer (large) was leaving. He came right through the doorway with no acknowledgement that another customer was trying to enter at the same time. There are a few tables for digital nomads who have emerged for a few minutes from their cars.
The menu is a typical Starbucks offering. The counter staff were not rude but neither welcoming.
In an age when our very existence will be under stress (climate change, war), please Starbucks can you look back at the 1980s ‘playbook’. I can’t put a monetary figure on it but maybe, just maybe some caring and empathy can go a long way to attracting and retaining customers.

Out of the 30+ times I've been here, I have never waited less than 10 minutes for a drink or order, whether it be in the Drive-Thru or going inside. I've learned to order 20 minutes earlier on the app and then pick it up by myself by walking inside. If I order 10 minutes in advance it's still not ready.
The drinks never taste the way they do in any other Starbucks. It's almost like they make their own amount of pumps up. and when I've asked them how many pumps in certain things they always say a different amount than other Starbucks.
Customer service is atrocious. when I asked for a refund (because I waited 16 minutes before going up to the counter for not getting my sandwich when there was no line when I went in) the response was, " Sorry, we don't know where it went." There was no offer to try and get us a sandwich instead or offer another products or anything. And the apology wasn't sincere. They gave me the refund and let me walk out dissatisfied with no breakfast.
It is also the dirtiest Starbucks I have ever been in. The floors are never clean the sugar station is always a mess tables look like they're never wiped down and even behind the counter things look like people are running in chaos with product everywhere.
I have overheard and been part of several different miscommunications among staff members and given wrong product or the wrong things happening.
I've seen busier Starbucks and they run much better. Maybe they need new management...

The reviews I read about this store is definitely paid for because I been coming to this buffoonery of a store for two years now and every experience has been less than adequate Every time
If there was a -5 stars they would definitely deserve it. Store 11973 gives the worst customer service ever. From the barista making the food to the drive thru barista, the service is below the standard of Starbucks period. If this was my first experience at this establishment I would’ve let it go, but every time that I have came to this establishment not only had to wait excessive amount of time to get my order, I have to watch the horrible customer service of this team mess up other people’s order. Then to add insult to injury the barista‘s are nonchalant and also lackadaisical. They need to retrain or replace the whole morning Crew.
I ordered in the Drive-Thru (quad on Ice , 4 pumps of classic sweet cream, ) and cheese danish. I received my drink and I was told to pull up to get my cheese danish . In the heart of winter, my 30 second wait on a heat danishes turned into a 15 min wait and I STILL NEVER Received it. I actually had to go into the store and ask for a refund because this 15 min catastrophe made me late for work. Manger offered to still give me the cheese danish. But.
