Carvel — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Absolutely Horrible customer service. It’s sad to see a shop you used to go to since a kid go so far down hill. Over the years. Took my kids a few times this passed year and staff acts like you’re annoying and inconveniencing them when placing orders. The shop has become increasingly dirty. Then my last straw today was Tried to place a simple cake order and they were horribly rude, dismissive and said I needed to come in person today to pay a deposit or they couldn't start the cake…the cake total was $30. I live $40 mins away. Only special order was no crunchies for a gluten allergy. They were awful the way they spoke to me. Needless to say they won’t have our families...

Worse customer service. We order cakes at this place all the time. We went today to order cake for my daughter’s birthday and we brought a picture to be copied on cake. We knew it was short notice because we needed for the following day. The owner said no problem but let us know next time to let them know sooner and we agreed. All of a sudden some young kid owners son comes from back said if was up to him he wouldn't do it. Why did I pay for a large and got just a smidge over 1/2 the size ice cream in the cup? 1/2 filled cup… when asked, I got a smug answer “that’s a large.” Really do I need to pull out a dictionary. If you put the amount of a SMALL in a LARGE cup, that DOES NOT MAKE A LARGE. I will NEVA!!!! GO BACK TO WANTAGH CARVEL AGAIN! BYEEEEEEE! You see shadow where the ice cream is up to and how much cup is left? So I paid extra for 1/2 an “air cup.” I just read all the other miserable reviews.
