RUDE, RACIST WAITRESS, AUTO CHARGE TIP For the Nth time ive been eating here since 2019, itvwas always been a pleasure- good food, nice people especially ARIEL. BUT in 11/02/2025 (Sunday), WE FEEL HARASSHED by a lady waiter- arrogant, aggresive, impolite. SHE "AUTO TIP" our BILL, like what? I literally eat here twice a week since I live a block away...and this never happened!

She says BECAUSE YOU ALWAYS tip less than 18% now I am putting this tip because you are "not tipping" the right way.

Wait:

In the spirit of customary practices, I do tip in all sit-down restaurants I go. I compute BEFORE TAXES- thats her reason- that I compute on the total with taxes- making it lesser than the "SUGGESTED TIP" on the bottom.

When we requested water, she just poured the water in our glasses with coke (still on the bottom)...and she expects a tip more than that?

She almost throw us desert spoons when asked for another. She was smiling and serving other customers politely but acted RUDE, VERY RUDE on us. My sister was really intimidated. I said-she must be havin a bad day, and she knows me well. Of course I go there literally twice a week.

I AM AN ASIAN TOO, and this does not reflect the way we treat people who patronize businesses for years...

ASK the other waiter Ariel how our family have been supporting THAI BISTRO FOR YEARS- promoted to our asian friends around EAST ROCKAWAY, OCEANSIDE, LYNBROOK..

Again, beware of this lady who tends to discriminate co-asians.

The roti curry from my experience typically come in a thin rice pancake sort of like a crepe. Very crispy. And as dipped into the curry, the bread would shatter into a lot of small pieces. Perhaps that's an american version but these rice pancakes were soaked in oil. The quantity hardly enough for 2.

The calamari was mediocre. Lacked seasoning. I can't remember the taste now. Had to dip into roti curry sauce to add taste.

Pad thai noodles were cut up into 4" strands. Couldn't grab a mouthful when I used the fork or chopsticks. Best to keep them long and let customers decide to cut it smaller. How come no abundance of crushed peanuts? I think a little was put on it but please leave portions on the table along with spices.

Dumplings were so so. The taste is forgotten after a day.

I hope the owner takes these things into...

I would've given them 3 stars but their chicken is hard/dry and fake/rat meat or something. It taste bad and odd, and across the board in their soup noodles and rice - it's the same bad tasting chicken- we threw out the chicken. I'm surprised they have good reviews, most ppl don't realize the taste with the sauce or the other choice of veg or meat. The flavors were good but they know the quality of chicken they are serving and they do it - it's disappointing bc some cheap Chinese take outs have the same tasting chicken but Thai places usually don't.
