Los Panas Venezuelan Food — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Stopped in for lunch today. First impression of the restaurant was that it smelled and looked incredibly clean. I was immediately welcomed in by the front of house guy Manny. I had some questions about some menu items and he happily explained each of them to me. I could tell that he was very proud of his restaurant's food and was excited to share it with the neighborhood. I ordered the Pabellón arepa to eat in. I only waited about 10 minutes before it was ready. In the meantime Manny brought out 4 squeeze bottles of their homemade sauces and explained each one to me. When the arepa arrived it looked very appetizing. The arepa breading was extremely crispy and looked just like the pictures on their menu. The arepas are perfectly made, the tequeños are crispy and delicious, and the cachapas are incredible. The portions are generous, and everything tastes homemade with lots of love.

If you haven’t tried this place yet… What are you waiting for??? They have a wide selection of Venezuelan dishes that will make you come back again and again wanting to try them all! Their carne mechada (shredded beef) is one of the best I’ve tried in NY and believe me I go to every Venezuelan restaurant I can 😂 I just discovered they have sancocho on Sundays so make sure to get there before 3 to treat yourself some deliciousness!
