David's Famous Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Not my go-to location as I was in the area and had a crave for a pizza. The line was long and seems promising, the smell was good and the variety - interesting. The place? Meh. I ordered a whole pie with tomatoes and olives, which surprisingly was $30!!! That is one expensive pie (I usually pay ~$20 for top notch Italian pies) but I was already there, and hungry so wth right? Well, I should of turned around when the price flag came up. The pizza was undercooked (even though the crust was done) with watery taste and feel, the dough was tasteless (like flour and water) and check out how well the sauce and toppings did (not) holding onto the base… smh. That is one place I am not going back to.

The only reason for the 2nd star was that the staff was friendly and in a good mood.

I've been here before and was much more impressed than I am with this visit. The pizza crust in proportion to the pizza was much to large. Also make sure to get a fresh and not warmed up slice you'll enjoy it more. The service is pleasant and relatively quick. I'll be back again, but not during the school rush hour.

Update: Each time I return it seems to be worse. This time I ordered Pizza and fries. The fries were what I would refer to as the leftovers which should have never been served and ironically under cooked. By the time my warmed up pizza arrived, they forgot it in the oven, and managed to slightly burn it, my fries were now cold. After looking for ketchup on the tables, because none was offered with the fries I went back to to the counter to request ketchup. In all fairness the owner did come over and apologize, I politely...

Truthfully the pizza is ok, but their pretzels are disgusting supper oily I told them I had to trow away the pretzel cause it was so oily instead of taking a loss they charged me about $5 for something un- edable , i've had cheese pretzels in many places and had never had seen something so nasty... I would never come back to this place because of the lack of empathy and not taking responsibility for the bad quality of product they serve...
